Customer Review Summary
Praise centers on the lamb shish kebab, called tasty and meaty with no gristle, alongside the chicken shish, a chicken fillet kebab whose marinade one reviewer singles out, and a mixed special plate shared by two. Reviewers also credit the doner for brown rather than grey meat, and the chefs behind the counter are described as friendly. Complaints cluster around delivery and portions. One reviewer received uncooked chicken, was told it was just veins, and was offered only a discount instead of a refund. Others describe an XL kebab padded with chips nobody asked for, a medium order with dry meat and stale chips in a paper tray, and a delivery of mush swimming in garlic yoghurt. Two reviewers report feeling unwell after eating, and one of them mentions an odd looking garlic mayonnaise. Even the critical XL review concedes the meat was nice and tasty.

“I’ve been here about 4 times now since moving to Kettering about a year ago. It’s the best kebab here I’ve tried by far . Lamb & chicken shish are great. And the donner tastes a lot better quality than most places. Fresh salad & the chefs behind the counter are always friendly & welcoming. I always pick up my food if possible. Because in my experience wherever you eat. your food usually is a lot better if you’re there yourself while it’s cooked & finished fresh.”

“Best Kebab House in the country. Consistently the best for 30+ years. The grilled meats are amazing but if you love Doner, this place has the best Doner meat around. High quality brown meat, not grey like everywhere else. Service is fantastic. If you're getting a kebab from anywhere else you're making a massive mistake.”

“I bought a doner kebab about a week ago. At first glance it looked very appetizing, but it contained an excessive amount of sauce. Because it looked good, I ate it anyway. Unfortunately, after some time I started feeling unwell, which was very disappointing. Presentation is important, but the quality and freshness of the ingredients are even more important. I hope you take this feedback seriously and improve your quality control and food preparation standards. Your business has potential, but experiences like this need to be addressed to ensure customer satisfaction.”

“I purchased food from Sultan Kebab in Kettering for my daughter. After eating the food, she began experiencing stomach problems and felt very unwell. I also noticed that the garlic mayonnaise sauce had an unusual appearance, with areas of different colours (some darker and some lighter), which gave me the impression that the sauce was not fresh. As a result of this experience, I am very disappointed with the standards of hygiene and the quality of the food served. I believe this matter should be investigated to help prevent similar incidents from happening to other customers.”

“Ordered an XL kebab and was left very very disappointed by the size and for the price was not acceptable. I believe it was around £12 odd but for an XL I would say it was just on the brink of being a large and chips put in which were never asked for. Is this the new con with some of these kebab shops that they top it up with chips instead of what you order . Can't fault the meat was nice and tasty but the portions were not equivalent to what you would expect for the price paid and due to that I will not return.”
