  “Just ordered for delivery for the first time, had 3 yorkie bowls. They were delicious only thing for us was the cauliflower was a little too al dente. All arrived hot and everything was there. Delivery was exactly as estimated.”

  “We ordered from No.1 Smash Burger this evening because my partner fancied a Sunday roast, and there aren't many places in Kettering delivering roast dinners anymore. He'd had the roast from here previously and liked it, but wasn't blown away. Tonight was different. He said the roasties were really well cooked, fluffy inside and crispy outside without being greasy. He chose the chicken, which he said was really flavourful, and also tried the beef. The beef had excellent flavour but was very chewy, which he said was the only thing that let the meats down. The minted peas and cauliflower cheese were excellent. He would have preferred roasted carrots, but that's just personal preference. He also had a side of garlic butter corn on the cob, which he said was amazing, with great texture and a lovely char, although it was lacking a little in garlic butter flavour. I ordered the OG hot dog. I'm currently low-carb and have my own low-carb hot dog buns, so I'm only judging the hot dog itself and the toppings. The hot dog itself was excellent, just how I like it, with loads of flavour, and the toppings were good too. I do wish the hot dog had been grilled, though, to give it that really nice snap and charred flavour, as the texture was a little rubbery. I also ordered a make-your-own salad with grilled halloumi. I was a little disappointed because the halloumi didn't really taste grilled and didn't taste particularly fresh. The actual salad and dressing were good, so it was really just the cheese that let it down for me. We also ordered a salted caramel sundae to share, and it was excellent. It reminded us of how McDonald's ice cream used to taste before whatever they're serving now! 😂 We shared a caramelised banana milkshake too, which was again excellent. Then, to our surprise, we received a free apple crumble. Wow. Absolutely stunning, and such a lovely surprise! Overall, No.1 Smash Burger is a really good, solid takeaway and definitely worth the price. They just need to refine a few of the dishes, and I hope they don't take the very small criticisms to heart because there was far more that we enjoyed than we didn't. Delivery was very reasonable and the driver was lovely too. Honestly, a great place and a real asset to Kettering.”
