“We dined here on a Friday night and it wasn't too busy. Staff were very polite and attentive. The food arrived quickly and was well presented. I had the scotch egg and my wife had the French onion soup, for starters. Both really delicious, the soup was rather large and nearly filled the wife ahead of her main course. For main we both had a burger, I had the Brossen bacon burger, which was very big. Wife had the cheese burger, which was also quite large. Both lovely, wife did think there was a bit too much relish, but I tasted nice. Total, plus drinks was about £80 which for the lakes, my three wainwright's gold and the wife's pint and a half of cider was reasonable. In all, a very nice experience and priced as you'd expect.”

“Wir waren in dem Steakhouse - eher enttäuschend. 80er Jahre Chic, ziemlich teuer. Burger war gut - Fish n' Chips waren enttäuschend, Fisch zu fettig und die Kartoffelspalten lasch.”

“Able to get a walk in table for 2 on a relatively busy Saturday evening. Very friendly staff. Superb Chateaubriand shared, well presented, very tasty. High mark-ups on the rather average wines was the only disappointment but in context all was good (would have paid more for a better level of wine)”
