Customer Review Summary
Burgers lead the praise at this Keswick cafe, with the Filling Station burger singled out for juicy meat, melted cheese, crispy onion rings and well-cooked fries. Two reviewers call it the best burger they have had in years, and one pairs it with a thick, creamy chocolate milkshake. Close behind are the breakfasts, including a Cumberland curl breakfast bap praised for its flavourful sausage and a big breakfast that set one rider up for a wet day in the passes. Coffee, including a flat white, is described as spot on or bang on. Walkers, cyclists, motorcyclists and trail runners make up much of the crowd, and several mention friendly, quick service and an American diner feel. One reviewer found the cafe dog friendly, and another notes the food was well priced. The one practical remark is that spaces can be limited, though one reviewer says bikes should fit. Another reviewer's bike would not start, and they ended up staying all day with helpful staff.

“Stopped in for lunch on my Motorcycle holiday in the Lakes. Had the best burger I've had in years. Nice and friendly staff, the coffee was great also. Sadly went on my last day otherwise I would have gone back for more.”

“Stopped by The Filling Station Cafe for breakfast and wasn’t disappointed. I had the Cumberland Curl Breakfast Bap with a flat white, and both were excellent. It was great to see them using a proper Cumberland curl sausage rather than a standard sausage, which was packed with flavour and made the bap stand out. They fit the roll perfectly, too! The service was friendly and quick, the coffee was spot on, and it was a bonus to find the cafe is dog friendly too. A great place to stop for a tasty breakfast. I’ll definitely be back when returning to Keswick for climbing with friends or working on our projects.”

“What a great place to stop when on your bike in the area, a proper bikers cafe with the right vibe and plenty of good food options. The filling station burger is highly recommended, very nicely made. Spaces can be limited but with bikes there should be enough space. Nice ride up to it means a great place to stop if heading up to the Lake District.”
