  “Really slow service, waited 15 minutes for drinks to arrive after waiting 10mins to order them. Food then arrived a short wait after. Toast was missing and didnt arrive for another ten minutes. Breakfast bap was served on slices of bread. Curtains hanging off the rails. The nicest thing was the London fog latte which was very much enjoyed.”

  “We booked for Sunday lunch. They had no wine. It’s a bar! The manager was not bothered and the excuse was that they ran out the night before. We went for Sunday lunch and to share a bottle of red wine. They offered us the dregs of the night before, 3rd bottle of rose and half a glass of red. No matter. We ordered sandwiches, the restaurant was nearly empty but took 50 minutes for the food to arrive. Good news, the food was lovely. The problem is the management. If they ran out of wine (in a bar) then they should have pulled out all the stops to get some for Sunday service. We complained, apologies by word only, they couldn’t be bothered and sai it wasn’t their fault. They really were not interested in our issues. What a shame. Great food, reasonable attitude, lacking service and appalling attitude from the manager.”

  “I have visited at least 10 times, amazing food, lovely staff, everytime I take my first bite it’s “omg it’s so good”. Highly recommend kedgeree and chocolate torte. Been to a few private functions upstairs, really well staffed each time!”

  “Really relaxed atmosphere (comfy seating!) with lots of interesting decor to peruse. Stopped off for a coffee and French toast… and I can happily say it was the best French toast I’ve ever had. Will be stopping by again.”

  “If you’re looking for breakfast/brunch/lunch in Huddersfield that genuinely feels special, this is it. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with the kind of warm, welcoming atmosphere that makes you want to stay a while. The space itself is cute, cosy and full of character — the sort of place that instantly lifts your mood whether you’re popping in for a coffee or settling in for brunch. But the real star here is the food. The menu is unlike anything else in Huddersfield — creative, thoughtful and full of dishes you won’t find anywhere else locally. Every plate feels carefully put together, and you can tell there’s real passion behind what comes out of the kitchen. Everything I’ve tried has been absolutely fantastic. What also stands out is the value. For the quality, care and originality of the food, the prices are more than fair. It’s refreshing to find somewhere that delivers this level of quality without feeling overpriced. And finally, the service. Friendly, genuine and welcoming — the kind of people who make you feel like a regular even on your first visit. Huddersfield is lucky to have a place like this. A truly unique little gem that I’ll keep coming back to again and again.”

  “Quick coffee before visiting friends. It was excellent. I'm diabetic so can't tell you about the cakes. My lady friend isn't and she thought hers was ace.”
