  “I had an amazing experience at Hope Cafe Hertford. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming. The food is honestly outstanding – everything I tried was absolutely delicious, fresh, and clearly made with care. You can really taste the quality in every bite. What truly makes this place special is the staff. They are 10/10 – friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about what they do. It’s rare to find service this good. If you’re in Hertford and looking for a place where everything is consistently great, this is it. I’ll definitely be coming back again and again!”

  “After a night drinking and dancing at a birthday party, we were in need of a place to recover the morning after with hearty breakfast food, and wow did Hope deliver! I would describe Hope Cafe & Restaurant as a proper caff, serving up the biggest portions of the tastiest food, cooked to perfection! We went for the English breakfast and Mega breakfast and it was all absolutely amazing. The staff were immediately welcoming when we arrived, and it’s clear they value their customers and regulars from the interactions I saw from both front of house and those who I believe were the owners. If you want a reliable, tasty and great value for money breakfast place, Hope is where you’ll find it!”

  “As I walked in I was greeted by a lovely team of staff. I was only there for the day as I was on a day out, usually I live about 2 hours away. I was quickly seated and timing handed menus and my order was taken with no rush. Staff were patient especially considering my disabilities. The food took a reasonable amount of time to cook and reach my plate. We ordered about 5 dishes as we were a large group and we had our food at our tables to an overly satisfying extent in under 15 minutes all freshly cooked. Portion sizes are huge and very affordable also. Very clean and a lovely cosy environment also. Truly amazing. Will return when I’m next in the area.”

  “Stopped here while visiting Hertford. A great choice - my order of chocolate cake and coffee came out, the coffee was excellent and the chocolate cake came with strawberries, blueberries and topped with an orange syrup 😋 Highly recommended”

  “Superb, huge breakfast. I was on my way to a meeting, was early so went for breakfast. I just happened to notice this unpretentious cafe at a time I wanted food and warmth. Food was well cooked and there was a lot of it.”

  “Visiting my mum and she recommended going here for a late breakfast. Quite tight from a tables and seating perspective but the food was excellent and service was friendly and quick. I had the Helens Hearty Breakfast and my mum the Scrambled sunrise. Portions were very generous, did not scrimp on the mushrooms 😋. We had coffees as well, and what a nice touch, I was asked if I wanted hot or cold milk with my Americano 👍 and all this for £17.50 for the two of us.”

  “Really nice place. Great value. Main breakfasts come with a tea or coffee. Almost too many options if anything. The Irish lady that served us was really polite and chatty. Will definitely be back when next in the area.”
