About Brothers House
Brothers House is a Chinese takeaway on Mayoral Terrace in Haverfordwest. The menu includes Singapore fried rice. Payment is cash only, whether ordering at the counter or paying when an order arrives, and a small sign on the screen by the counter says so. Walk-in customers order at the counter, and a wait is usual at busy times such as Saturday night. Orders can also be placed the night before.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often praise the cooking itself, calling dishes delicious, good value and not greasy, with the chicken in the Singapore fried rice singled out even though one diner wanted it spicier. Several describe a phone that never stops ringing and a busy counter, and one reports delivery arriving piping hot within the time given, with a polite driver. Staff are described as friendly, and one says nothing is too much trouble. Consistency is the main split. A customer of eight years says quality has gone downhill fast, and another found the chicken in oyster sauce watery and a special curry greasy with an unpleasant aftertaste. Delivery timing draws the sharpest complaints. One reviewer's food still hadn't left the kitchen long after ordering, and others say prices have risen. Cash only payment catches some people out, and one reviewer reports seeing customers walk away after spotting the small sign by the counter. Another was told an order placed by 9.45 would be fine, then learned at 9.35 that the driver had gone home.

“Here's the deal you require cash payments maybe to avoid tax or not . This is your choice. However dealing in cash requires a level of customer service which you have yet to learn. Do not lie to your customers and treat them well. If you say the delivery will occur in 1 hour make it happen. It is entirely plausible that you have customers who work for the inland revenue. You have been warned. Thanks”

“Great chinese. Tastes great. Great potions. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. The only downside (and it's just me being picky) is it's CASH ONLY.. seen so many people come to order and then see it's cash only (small sign on screen by counter) and walk away muttering "Why don't they take a card as well" maybe a bigger sign on inside of window by door saying this, so people see this before they come in and order. Other than that, it's 5 stars!”

“A very busy Saturday night with the phone going non stop. Lots of people walking in and ordering. The wait was long but that was understandable and worth it. The food was good, not greasy as many other Chinese take aways. The Singapore fried rice could have been spicier but the chicken made up for it. Recommended but expect to wait at busy times as it's good.”
