Customer Review Summary

Most reviewers praise the food and the friendly staff. One regular orders the soup every time, and another singles out the chicken burger and the fruit and salad boxes as lovely. Several describe the food as fresh, great quality and good value, and the shop is called always busy, with schoolchildren crowding the wee space at lunchtime yet customers still getting through quickly. Opinions split on the details. One diner found the roll and sausage with potato scone average, nothing special, with too much ketchup. Another thought the wrap tiny and the chips tasty but a bit greasy. Service draws the sharpest complaints. One reviewer describes a staff member who was patronising over the difference between a panini and a roll, rolled her eyes, and pointed out the wait to other customers. Another was told near closing time to wait, then handed a wrong order that arrived cold. A long-time regular finds the staff pleasant but never moves beyond no small talk.

“My sister and I were in for food yesterday (08/05/2026) for rolls for our family. We was served by a blonde lady with a quite frankly terrible attitude. We went in with the order from the family and was offered options we was never offered and so we called the family for clarification. This woman was degrading her and being horrible to her for not knowing all the ins and outs of the order. She decided to school my sister on the difference between a panini and roll in a patronising manner and proceeded to roll her eyes at her and direct other patrons attention to the fact they were having to wait. This is just frankly disgusting behaviour from the staff member and as regular patrons, we will most certainly not be back. I cannot in good faith recommend this establishment to any self-respecting person.”

“On street parking okay. Service was fairly quick. Ordered a roll & sausage with potato scone. All was very average, nothing wrong with it at all. Price was £3.30 which is at the cheaper end. Would go back if in the area again but nothing special. Ketchup was overly provded.”

“Quality food, really hygenic and clean, popular place with locals and folks passing through looking to grab breakfast and lunch. Their soup is popular and a regular for me. Food is always fresh to, they don't cut corners that way and take pride in what they do. Just watch out around lunchtime, they get busy with schoolweans and its a wee shop but they get through customers pretty fast, won't be waiting too long. Only gave them 3 for atmosphere cause been going for years and still not on first name terms or anything like that, no small talk but I see it with others, I look a bit dour faced don't get me wrong and I dont make attempts but it's not me getting rated for atmosphere, were it me behind the counter I'd have asked what the plans are for today, hows the weans blah blah, just go that extra mile when its customers, don't get me wrong they're nice and pleasant, but aye, not going to get 5 stars from me for the aforementioned reasons.”
