Quick info
About PizzaExpress
PizzaExpress is a pizza restaurant in Greenhithe, set in The Village at Bluewater Shopping Centre. The bottomless offer covers pizza and doughballs, so a table can keep ordering rounds of both. Gluten free dough balls are on the menu for those avoiding gluten, and a Nicoise salad sits alongside the pizzas. For drinks, an alcohol-free lemon beer is available. Guests who use the app earn rewards that bring a side of free dough balls. A braille menu lets blind and partially sighted diners read the choices for themselves.

Customer Review Summary
Dough balls come up most, from gluten free ones praised by a parent whose son needs dairy free options to a free side earned through the app, with garlic butter one reviewer did not want taken away. The nicoise salad and an alcohol free lemon beer are called fresh and refreshing, while another diner found the lasagna mince too grainy and the meal too expensive for what arrived. Service divides reviewers sharply. Several describe quick, friendly, welcoming waiters and a waitress, and long-serving staff who look after regulars. Others describe being left waiting at the entrance while most tables sat empty, staff arguing on the floor in front of customers, and an understaffed room where a bottomless pizza and dough ball deal was eaten up by waiting, with a second round of dough balls arriving very late. One diner felt pushed to download the app at payment, then waited again for change. Allergy accommodation is welcomed, and one parent asks for a vegan kids' dessert in place of a lolly.

“Really great experience today especially from our waiter Saule. We went into the Zizi’s across the road before coming here where we experienced disgusting service and discrimination. So being able to dine here at the Pizza Express and being served by this lovely waiter made my day. I will return soon!”

“A trip to Pizza Express Bluewater (the village) wouldn’t be the same without the personalised attention of Boss. He and Tasha have looked after us there for many years, and the service has always been exceptional. Staff are always the making of a good restaurant, and you are blessed with some excellent ones.”

“Amazing as always. Love pizza express! So accommodating for allergy too. My son loves the options for dairy free. And gluten free dough balls are just amazing. The only thing I would say, please please please can you get a “vegan” option on the kids menu. My son would love to have a proper dessert than a lolly. Apart from that everything perfect! Saule was the perfect waitress. Xx”

“Was acknowledged at the door but still left waiting. Meal took a while to arrive, and service was poor during that time. Went to pay and they pushed the app, didn't want to download an app to pay, server struggled to take payment by card. Paid cash and again was left waiting for change, the server left me and did several other jobs before returning to me. Was made to feel like I was a hindrance rather a valued customer.”

“Hands down the worst pizza express I’ve ever been to. Walked in and stood by the counter waiting to be seated for 10 minutes and in that time had 3 separate staff look over and give a ‘1 min’ gesture. The restaurant is big, and we could see from the door that only 3 tables had customers. The person came over and asked ‘have you booked’, which seemed odd, and then it felt kind of awkward and that they were doing us a favour giving us a table. There were plenty of staff but they all seemed to be acting like they were rushed off their feet and we were in the way when there ended up being just us and one other table in the restaurant (this was between 7pm and 830pm). Weird atmosphere. Won’t be returning.”

“This holiday season, we're adding festive flourishes to everything we do. A flurry of Gran Milano here, a drizzle of truffle oil there, a prosecco toast raised to those you love the most. Because the most wonderful time of year deserves a little flair. Book now at PizzaExpress The Village Bluewater Shopping Centre.”
