Quick info
About The Kings Head
The Kings Head is a pub on North Rd in Great Yarmouth, with a wood burning stove in the bar and a garden overlooking fields. The main bar has a big table in the window, and a conservatory adds a second place to sit. The kitchen runs a regular menu alongside a specials board, and the Sunday roasts include options for non-meat eaters. Desserts are brought out to tables. Live sport is shown on TV through Sky and TNT, so match days fit alongside a meal or a drink. The pub opens daily, and dogs are welcome.

Customer Review Summary
Sunday roast is what reviewers mention most, with a lovely variety for non meat eaters and generous portions, and several suggest booking ahead for Sunday lunch. Close behind are the home-cooked style dishes: chicken and mushroom pie with mash and peas, chilli lasagne, scampi and chips, and a sweet chilli chicken baguette, all described as hot, tasty and plenty of it. Desserts draw praise too, with one reviewer tempted after watching them carried out to other tables. Value comes up repeatedly, with prices called reasonable and very low, and the staff are described as friendly and helpful. One server happily made a salad with only lettuce and cucumber for a picky eater. Reviewers also like the wood burning stove and fire, the conservatory, the garden overlooking fields, live sports on TV, and a welcome for dogs and children. No complaints appear in the reviews. Two parties returned the next day, one for Sunday dinner after a 90th birthday party and another for an anniversary meal.

“First time ever visiting and next time in hemsby we will definitely be back. Every inch of the pub was spotlessly clean and fresh. The Sunday roasts were to due for with a lovely variety for non meat eaters too. Yes we were tempted by the glorious desserts ,after seeing them being bought out for other tables. I highly recommend booking ahead as this little gem was very popular and lm not surprised 100/10.”
