  “Brilliant pub with brilliant staff. Staff were very welcoming and the food was spot on. I have moved into the area recently and will be using the treacle mine as my local. Had a great evening with friends and can’t wait to go back. Thank you to you all for taking good care of us. 😋🥂🍻❤️”

  “I’ve visited the Treacle Mine many times with my family and today’s experience was 5 star, Emma was great with the dog and Ben behind the was is a nice guy, food was really good, the meat cooked to perfection. the coffee was really good!!! I do really like this pub, 5 STAR visit!!”

  “We come here regularly, we love it, Jade works Sunday evenings and she's always amazing and smiley and she makes us feel very welcome. Her service is fantastic, and she always looks after us! All the treacle mine staff now are brilliant. Except brad 😂 joking! Well done m j our favourite place 👏”

  “We called on the night England were playing Argentina, the place was rammed but all in a good manner and atmosphere. They were under staffed but they worked admirably and everyone got served eventually. The food was ok and perhaps not the best time to review the food we but will try it when it's not so busy to give a more honest assessment.”

  “Brilliant pub, the staff are very helpful and have a great way of dealing with the public. Tuesday I go every week as they have bingo for anyone who wants to play. Always after we(my friend and I) have a meal and the food is lovely never had a bad meal. The landlady is one of the best one I have come across as she will go out of her way to be there for anyone. If you want a good day or night out this is a great pub to go to.”

  “Came to The Treacle Mine for Lunch with Mum, haven't been in over 10 years, only two members of staff on guessing 1 was bar staff and the other was manager, I felt the manager was much much more helpful than the bar staff especially as we were trying to use a a App Code that didn't seem to want to go through. manager seemed to be more helpful and more willing to helpful, I felt the lunch menu was lacking in lunch style opinions and even a brunch option. I would definitely consider popping back if a hearty menu is what I needed for lunch but for a pub lunch it seem a bit on the heavy side. Simple quite pub based on a busy roundabout. Food was fresh and very hot After discount code lunch was just under £17 for 2 mains and 2 soft drinks.”

  “One of my worst experiences in my life. They destroyed my birthday day. I booked few tables on 16th from 19:30 for my birthday. We been 12 adults and 4 kids which was mentioned on the phone to the booking team and nobody was mentioned to me, I have to stay until 21:00 only. We ordered the food around 19:45 and we waiting 45 min for the food to come. They was short staff was the argument from the supervisor. We start eating and I want to ordering the more drinks but on the service bar was only two lady's working and they was eating in one of the front table. I didn't want to disturb their dinner, So, I go back and wait for them to finish. After 15 minutes one of the lady's come to the table and ask if I want to order more drinks. I said yes and she pick some empty plates and left After 5 minutes comes with the supervisor and tell me I have to go because is 21:00 o'clock and we have kids and they don't served us anything else I have try to discussed with the supervisor to buy our last drinks and finish the food, but she said in her shift nobody stays more than 21:00 and we need to leave. Taking in consideration few weeks ago we have other party and the same supervisor allowed us to stay until 23 she didn't said anything about 21:00 kids policy and other multiple times with different stuff they never mentioned to us to go at 21:00. So, I have asked to speak with the person how booked me in or the owner but she refuses.Moreover she left and tell me she will be back until she finish to served the customers how was waiting to be served. But she never come back she send the other lady to deal with me. The supervisor was very unprofessional, poor experience and very rude I think she doesn't deserve to be a superior taking in consideration the way how she deal with my situation. The other lady comes back and she apologised for the situation take my phone number and tell me someone will contact me next day but I have to leave now. So we left the food on the plates and left. Nobody get back to me until now still waiting. Overall, Very poor service, very dirty toilets toilets.I will never come back in this place again, never recommended to my friends and family again.”

  “My friend lived in the area and recommended we go to this pub as he had a fantastic time when he went recently. I thought it was friendly and inviting. I ordered the Caribbean style jerk chicken skewers with chips (£10.99). It was good but a bit oily. He ordered the Dopsu no beef burger (vegan, £9.49). He said it was really good. There was some live performances in the karaoke portion of the evening. My friend got up and did a duet with one of his work colleagues. This is a nice local pub!”

  “Went for a family meal, me, hubby and the kids. Good value, great prices. Service was efficient although you have to order at the till. Kids meal for under 5’s, good portion size. Sometimes at other venues the plates can be overloaded. Vegetarian options, very limited. The only meal they had that my hubby wanted to order, they didn’t have any of. But they was fine with us ordering extra nacho’s and a few more sides as a main. Didn’t feel rushed, ate and drank at our leisure. Would recommend.”
