About Minel Meze & Grill (King’s Arms)
Minel Meze & Grill (King's Arms) is a Mediterranean restaurant on Wrotham Rd in Gravesend, set in the former Kings Arms pub building. The menu leans on Turkish food, with burgers, steak and pasta alongside for those who want something different. Homemade bread arrives with sauces. The bar pours cocktails and local pints, so drinks can run alongside the meal. A DJ plays in the evenings, and live music is scheduled on certain days, which gives the restaurant a lively after-dark side. The restaurant is open daily. Parking on site is limited, with more nearby.

Customer Review Summary
Friendly staff come up most often, described as fun, attentive and personable, whether for a family meal, a birthday or a pint at the bar. Among the food, diners name grilled octopus and sea bass, monkfish and lamb chops, creamy chicken, and cheese and garlic mushrooms. One dairy free diner was surprised to find a coconut dessert. Cocktails are singled out by two reviewers, and a DJ on some evenings adds to the atmosphere. Tapas Tuesday is praised for its large selection, and the lunch menu of Turkish dishes, burgers, steak and pasta is called good value. One reviewer suggests booking in advance after finding it very busy on a Tuesday. Criticisms are fewer. One diner wanted bigger portions for the price, another found the music too loud and the decor sterile, and a parent felt a waiter was unhappy with the kids until near the end. Reviewers also mention the homemade bread with two sauces, including a chili sauce customers ask to buy that the restaurant does not sell.

“Over the past couple of years, we’ve enjoyed many lovely meals here and have never once been disappointed. We’ve tried a wide variety of dishes and have always loved everything. The staff are absolutely fantastic—without a doubt the friendliest team we’ve come across. We regularly travel from out of the area just to come back here, and every visit turns into such a lovely evening. Thank you all for always taking such great care of us—we’ll definitely be back again soon!”

“Minel never fails to impress me! The food today was exceptionally good, from the homemade bread and sauces, to our perfectly cooked monkfish and lamb chops. Staff are attentive, personable and generally great. You'll get the full treatment here everytime, whether you're popping in for a pint at the bar after work, entertaining family and friends for special occasions, or anything in between. Highly recommend everytime, for any occasion!”

“It is absolutely gorgeous starting from appetizers, Main and dessert. It is impressive. I usually am not a clean plate person but tonight, I really enjoy it (and I have evidence - see photo 😛😛) Starter is Grilled Octopus - tender and succulent 😋😋 My main is Grilled Sea Bass with vegetables, the portion of vegetables is absolutely good. The sea bass is tender and tasty 😋 I am a dairy free person so I can’t enjoy the bread with two choices of sauces but my friend said it is so good as well. One of them is chili sauce and created by the chef, I asked whether they sell but they don’t 😊 but the waitress called Elle said there are so many customers ask about it and I suggest her to tell the manager to think about it. The most surprising point is dessert - I usually the person can’t or won’t have dessert due to no dairy free choice or no room for that. However, I am the only one person to order dessert as Coconut is my favorite, it is dairy free so why not 😊😊😛😛😋😋😋 It is so good and amazingly delicious 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 Thinking of before leaving this area, order take away on Thurs. The staff is so good - Elle (a young lady) 👍👍 My friend ordered creamy chicken and he said it is very nice too 👍”

“Great Turkish to visit once in a while. They have a good kids menu and live music on certain days. Waiter wasn't very happy with us and the kids but sort of relaxed a little towards the end. Great parking”
