About Starbucks

On North Street in Glenrothes, Starbucks operates as a walk-in coffee shop with a drive-through lane alongside the in-store counter. The format is built around takeaway orders, and dogs are welcome inside. Drinks centre on the core coffee range, with lattes and cappuccinos available, while frappuccinos and specialty syrups have been reported as unavailable. The counter staff assist wheelchair users by opening doors and bringing trays to the table, and the seating area sometimes shows tables and floors left with used cups and plates. Seating is provided for those who stay on site, and the drive-through serves customers collecting on the go.

Customer Review Summary

Reviewers are split. Praise centers on one barista's friendly service, with a group including a wheelchair user describing help with doors and carrying a tray. Complaints cite dirty tables with used cups left out, rude staff, and menu drinks like the unicorn frappe and caramelised banana latte unavailable. One calls a sandwich soggy.

“Was ok, the staff were nice enough. Sandwich was rather lacklustre though soggy and just not worth the price”

“We were in on the 13th of August a group of 8, one a wheelchair user We were served by William, his customer service and care were exemplary. He assisted my friend, opened doors, held doors, took her tray to the table. We have started attending regularly on a Thursday evening due to the amazing service we have received from William. We will back this Thursday and cannot wait. We all hope you have an award scheme in place, he truly deserves recognition for his dedication. Honestly what a joy of an employee. Thank you from all of us. Excellent customer care/service”

“Only come if you literally have nowhere else to go. They operate on basic drinks only. Dont expect anything other than lattes or cappicinos etc. This is possibly the 4th occasion in the last year where they dont have the drinks advertised on their menus. I wanted the unicorn frappe that was only on for 1 weekend. She said 'sorry we cant make frappacinos, and we have no syrups'. What? Ok, Can i have the iced caramalised banana latte...'no sorry I cant make that'.......so what is the point in advertising anything when you dont ever have anything in. Got to be the worst one in Fife. Such a shame. Gave up and left the drive through without ordering. We usually just say 'ok 2 lattes then' but we are sick of ending up with drinks we dont really want.”

“William the best barista Starbucks could have. His customer service is out of this world. He is the friendliest person I’ve met, he puts a smile on every customers face. He’s always busy cleaning or serving coffees. Keep being you William. And thank you for coming in ❤️”

“Multiple visits and every-time the staff are rude, tables are dirty and the place looks like an unorganised mess. I do not understand who they hire to run these places, every single one in Fife is rank. Don’t waste your time or money, better getting a tin of nescafé.”
