“Food has always been the best in the whole of Folkestone & surrounding area especially the spring rolls, then all of a sudden all the usual ingredients like prawns, chicken, beef, pork & beansprouts which make them unique compared with other Chinese takeaways, are all taken away & now all you get is beansprouts and bits of beef mince nothing like they've always been & the price has gone up yet again for less ingredients. The chop suey special is no longer special as the omelette has been removed from the top. Such a shame as all the things I love have been changed or taken away to not so nice anymore. If its not broke why fix it. It is now 6 months since I wrote this review and am delighted to say that Golden Gate have redeemed themselves. The spring rolls are now back to how they used to be and have a lovely mixed contents of prawns,, pork, chicken etc and are back to being the best soring rolls I've ever had from a chinese takeaway. Also the chop suey was even better than previously and had fantastic ingredients with generous portion. I now take back everything I said in the start of this review 6 months ago. I now applaud The Golden Gate for taking note of my comments & putting things back to the way they were. It is once again the best Chinese in this area in my opinion. Well done Golden Gate.”
