About Everest Tandoori
Everest Tandoori is an Indian restaurant in Farnborough, on Lynchford Rd at number 69. The kitchen pairs Indian curries with Nepalese specialties, so the menu covers two culinary traditions under one roof. A section called the girls' menu lists butter chicken as the mild option, which gives diners who prefer less heat a clear place to start. The restaurant's name points to its Nepalese side, and the Nepalese dishes sit on the same menu as the curries.

Customer Review Summary
Diners most often praise the generous portions and flavourful curries, with the butter chicken singled out as tender and succulent, and a lamb vindaloo described as properly hot with plenty of lean meat. Close behind is the service, called friendly, accommodating and quick, including a solo diner squeezed in on a busy Friday without a booking. Reviewers also mention crisp poppadoms with fresh chutneys, a keema naan, and the Nepalese specialties alongside classic dishes. Several say the place fills up fast, and one suggests booking. The criticism is narrower: one takeaway customer found the curry flavourless, the bhajis pasty and the naan bland, and said an Uber Eats order quoted at one time was pushed back by a delay as soon as payment went through. Another found a chicken biryani a bit dry, though its sauce made up for it. Even that takeaway reviewer liked the driver, who walked the order a few extra metres, and the free poppadoms and pickles in the bag.

“Our 3rd visit whilst visiting the North Camp area. Service and food was very nice. I had the chicken biryani, it was nice but a bit dry, but came with a nice sauce, so all good. We will visit again.”

“Great experience at Everest Curry Restaurant. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere was comfortable. The food was delicious, full of flavor, and the portions were generous. Service was quick and attentive. I’d definitely recommend it and will be coming back again!”

“Very average experience overall. Good delivery driver! Ordered recently whilst working away and saw some great reviews. The oredering process via uber eats was good but deceiving. Placed the order with an expectation of 30minutes from ordering to arrival from the restaurant, but as soon as payment was complete, the restaurant updated with a 30 minute delay! Defeating the reason I ordered. The delivery driver arrived punctually in line with the updated timing and was nearby because uber gave the wrong instruction through. He kindly walked the order the few extra 100m to where I was as I came to meet him. Much appreciated. Opened the bag in my room, impressed to see free popadoms and pickles, a nice touch, and probably the nicest part in the end.. Curry was very flavourless with a strong somewhat pointless spice level? Bhajis were pastey and just seemed weird. Naan was decidedly bland. Nothing felt unsafe or problematic as such, and I wouldn’t go so far as to raise a complaint, but certainly not somewhere to rush for if you like a good curry take away.”

“I called in here on a business trip as an alternative to the rather predictable Holiday Inn dinner (just down the road from here, where I was staying) . £7ish for a glass of wine here is also far more pleasurable than forking out £14 at the Holiday Inn. I wasn’t that hungry so I had two popadoms, a lamb vindaloo, pilau rice, naan and cucumber raita. One is not going hungry to bed on that. The lamb vindaloo was such that it caused pain. Good! If you want a painless curry, go for the butter chicken on the girls’ menu. :-) There was a good amount of lean meat without gristle. So often restaurants laden a vindaloo with potatoes and skip the meat. Not here. The sauce / gravy was a good standard vindaloo flavour, what we all write home about. The naan was highly edible: I usually find them heavy and eat only half: this one was enjoyed to the end, covered in the excellent sauce / gravy. I finished with a good filter coffee and fresh cream. Total bill was about £45. My general manager walked into the restaurant just as I was finishing, and put the meal onto his expenses. It’s wise to book. This was a Tuesday early eve ing and they fill up very quickly. And my usual self review question: would I go back? Most definitely, even if I am not in the immediate area.”

“Had a great evening here with delicious food! The food is well priced and has good portions. All the staff are so lovely here! Our group tried 6 different curries, a few sides and starters, everything was amazing. Can't wait to come back.”
