  “Moving to the local area and was walking around and found this little gem hiding in a side street. We stuck our heads in and started talking to the waiter and a customer overheard and said how good it was so we decided to give it a go and was not disappointed. The service was excellent and friendly and the food was a work of art and delicious with generous thick salmon in the dishes we had, we have sampled other local sushi restaurants but this was the best we have had. With it being so close we look forward to coming back and trying more of the menu which was extensive.”

  “We found this place on searching good sushi places in Exeter. It was open on a Sunday which some places weren’t so we thought we would give it a try as my family love sushi. The interior was nice and quaint. The menu was very large with lots of different authentic Japanese dishes, ranging from okonomiyaki, to takoyaki to unagi donburi to ramen (and obviously plenty of different types of sushi). We opted for seafood okonomiyaki, tonkotsu ramen, the big Yokozuna sushi platter with some extra pieces on the side and beef teryaki donburi for 5 people. There was plenty of food as the portions were very big. The okonomiyaki and tonkotsu ramen were as nice as what I had in Japan (it is half eaten in the picture) and for a decent price as well (you’d pay maybe more for ramen at wagamamas and this is nicer). All of the sushi was AMAZING. Some of the best sushi we’ve ever had. Also the server we had was very nice and friendly and kept topping up our waters before we asked him to. Surprised this place is only rated 4.3 on Google - I checked and I think it’s because they had a 1 star review which was a problem with the uber eats delivery driver. We will definitely revisit this place.”

  “Came for my sons bday lunch. First time been here and will definitely be back. Food was amazing. Good size portions really fresh, well presented and tasted lovely. Our waiter was really nice and helpfull Lovely hidden gem”

  “Kid friendly. Great taste although the shoyu ramen could have been piping hot for a full 10/10 (esp the bowl preheated / washed with boiling water)...otherwise a nice find and keen to sample the rest of what looks like a pretty extensive and well thought out menu. Has Japanese beers and desserts. Lovely service. Lacking music / ambience a touch as cant hear neither the kitchen action nor any music - just nearby tables...could be a simple nice touch if nice and low in the background 🎶”

  “The sushi was absolutely delicious. I’d highly recommend the Shibuya roll — the mix of eel, tobiko, and salmon was incredible. Everything tasted fresh and beautifully prepared. Saw other reviews saying it’s overpriced but nothing compares to London prices but the online menu would ideally require some updating due to current inflation. The uramaki rolls (the shibuya one anyway) was definitely worth it in my opinion. Came in yesterday (Saturday afternoon) with the girls and had such a lovely experience. It’s a small restaurant, but makes it feel extra cosy — we ended up staying for three hours just chatting because we were so comfortable.. The service was friendly and attentive, with no wait time at all — our food arrived almost instantly. Overall, such a relaxing and enjoyable spot. Definitely worth a visit!”

  “Me and my family have been coming here since 2020 and not once has anything been shy of outstanding. The food is the best in a 30 mile radius by FAR and the staff are always so so friendly and the food is genuinely just top tier. Tempura prawn is the best we’ve had! Thankyou guys!”
