Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often praise the takeaway and dine-in food as the best Chinese they have had locally, with one describing restaurant quality at home from set menu B and Peking style shredded beef. Crispy, non-soggy batter and traditional prawn crackers get specific mention. Close behind, the chow mein and a king prawn omelette are singled out, and one reviewer had salt and chilli pepper added to the chicken balls on request. Several also credit the owner and host as warm and helpful, and one says she let them take home cartons of leftovers. The complaints are about delivery. One reviewer says an order estimated at 1 hr 20 mins took 2 hours, and that the beef in black bean and chicken szechuan were too salty to eat, though the ribs and sweet and sour chicken balls were good. Another says the starters went in the bin and the mains were barely edible, suspecting leftovers. A third objects to the cost of a delivery to Offenham. One reviewer notes the buffet is no longer offered and recommends ordering five or six dishes and dining in.

“The best Chinese food we've had! My family has been ordering for years. The staff and owners are always happy and helpful. They are also willing to cater to different requests, like adding salt and chili pepper to the chicken balls. This is a must! I've seen it on social media but never found a Chinese restaurant to do it until I asked last night. It should definitely be on the menu!”

“Had a food delivery 6.30ish Saturday evening, starters went in the bin and the mains barely edible. Now I know what happens to last night's leftovers. They get delivered early next evening. They wouldn't have dared served that garbage in the restaurant. They would have been wearing it.”

“Ordered a takeaway, with an estimated 1 hr 20 mins for delivery, however it took 2 hours. The ribs and sweet and sour chicken balls were good, but its a shame the rest wasn't. We couldnt eat the mains due to how salty they were. The beef in black bean was the worst as it was extremely salty, the chicken szechuan not as bad, but still unable to eat and they went in the bin! It was so disappointing as we ordered from here due to the positive reviews, but based on our experience we're surprised it isn't a 3 as it was a complete waste of money!”

“Had a takeaway last night and I have to say I was not disappointed. The food was excellent it's the best Chow Mein I have had in a very long time and my wife thoroughly enjoyed her King Prawn Omelette. The extras were just as good and all at a reasonable price. I will definitely be going back again.”
