About The Jolly Sandwich Bar

The Jolly Sandwich Bar is a cafe on Darling Street in Enniskillen, set up for breakfast and lunch on a walk-in basis with orders taken at the counter. A daily specials board sits behind the register in place of table menus, and the kitchen turns out sandwiches and hot plates from a chicken goujon wrap with Cajun mayo and scrambled eggs on soda bread to a bacon, cabbage and potato bake, with cakes and bakes including a fruit bake on the counter throughout the day. Coffee and tea, from flat whites to Earl Grey, sit alongside strawberry milkshakes on the drinks list. The team greets people as they come in and stops to chat, and takeaway orders are packaged for the journey. A queue builds at peak times, particularly just after 1pm on a Friday.

“On the morning of Saturday 18th July I went in for a fry .First no menus on the tables so I asked the person on the cash register for help. She took me to look at a menu on board behind the counter I ordered the £10 frywhichcame out cold when I complained about it I was told it was brought out hot. If it had been hot I'd have eaten and paid for it. The person who had been at the cash register came out after me looking for the £10I told her also it was cold . It was said to me it'd be put right . It makes me think that it'd probably have been pout into a microwave.”

“Lovely first time visit here, absolutely buzzing and highly recommended. There is lots of choice, the queue moves reasonably quickly and you don't have to wait too long for a table, we were in probably peak time, just after 1pm on a Friday. I had one of the specials, chicken goujon wrap with Cajun mayo and my partner had a sausage roll with the chicken special and side salad. My partner enjoyed a nice flat white and I enjoyed a strawberry milkshake. We would definitely return, the staff were all very friendly, efficient and professional even when under pressure with the amount of customers.”

“Gorgeous homemade food. Incredibly friendly, efficient staff. Could see it was very popular (constant stream of customers) and after our visit we could see why. Update. Back a month later and sampled many of the cakes. My God the quality of baking in this cafe is unbelievably high. I'm devastated that this cafe isn't closer to Dublin where i live. I'd weigh three times what I do now though if it was... If your standards for baked goods is high check out this place! Also extremely fair prices”

“I am here at the Jolly Sandwich Bar for breakfast on a Tuesday morning in August. I have enjoyed scrambled eggs perfectly cooked and served with delicious soda bread, tomato, chilli jam and a little dressed salad. Delicious! And a pot of Earl Grey tea. The staff are really friendly and helpful and I can hear them greeting people as they enter and wishing them a good morning. Stopping to chat with customers. What a friendly welcoming place with excellent food! The cakes look amazing! I may return! 😁”
