Customer Review Summary
The criticism is concentrated on lunch. One reviewer found the two-course lunch portions disappointingly small, with barely any curry or stir fried beef, while another says the lunch menu offers limited choices and found the food somewhat whitewashed compared with local Thai cooking. A third reports a server who kept disappearing and then said the kitchen was already closed for lunch, with no last-orders warning. One reviewer says the small restaurant is not suited to large groups, and a couple suggest booking in advance.

“Absolutely love this place, hadn’t been in a long time but was glad to return recently. Our group had the set menu and it was delicious. They also provide a lovely child’s meal, tempura chicken and egg fried rice which my daughter enjoyed. I’m definitely going back for the massaman and sea bass curry, it was incredible!”

“The food tastes good but the portion for the 2 courses lunch was disappointingly small. As you can see in the photos, there were barely any curry or stir fried beef. As a petite person, this doesn’t fill me up. There were 3 of us, we ordered 2 lunch sets, regular tom yum and steam seabass. Do not go for the lunch set, way too small portion!!”

“No exaggeration (and coming from semi-professional food travelers), this might be the best Thai food outside of Thailand! Oh my gosh, the Nutty Curry + the Cashew Chicken + the Roti was TO DIE FOR! Oh, and the service was amazing; very kind and accommodating. You’d miss this place if you just walked by, so please, for all that is good in this life, add this to your list and come dine here. (If in doubt, make a reservation because the restaurant is small).”

“The restaurant has a really cozy vibe - good interior design. It’s pretty quiet and easy to talk to people here. The service is attentive. All the staff are polite and check up on us regularly. The lunch menu has a very limited food choices. I wish the restaurant provides tom tum soup instead of kimchi soup as a choice of starter since it’s a thai restaurant. All the food is fresh and tasty. I prefer the pad thai more than the teriyaki chicken. However as an Asian I find the food somewhat whitewashed but they don’t taste like local thai food.”

“We visited recently with friends from Australia and ordered the dinner set menu at around £34pp. For a minimum group of 4, you end up getting every dish on the set menu rather than choosing a meal each. What a treat - every starter and main dish was delicious. Some of our favourites were the fish cakes, prawn tempura, sea bass green curry, duck with cashew in a sweet sauce and massaman curry. It’s a popular spot so always worth booking in advance. Service was wonderful as always, very attentive - asked several times if we wanted more rice and constantly topping up our water glasses without having to ask. A firm favourite for Thai in Edinburgh for us!”
