About The Posh Plaice
The Posh Plaice is a fish and chips shop in Ebbw Vale, found at 1 Park Pl and open daily. The kitchen fries cod in a homemade batter made to a secret recipe, and serves it with chips, mushy peas and tartare sauce prepared each day. The menu also runs to a chip roll with curry and to kebabs, so it covers more than fish. Separate vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free menus give those diets their own lists to order from. Food goes out in biodegradable packaging.

“Amazing food here and lovely people also when waiting for my food out of that whole row of businesses i saw a lady come in distress asking them if they would call a taxi for her as her phone had died and she had been left stranded miles from home. A lady by herself on a very hot day. She said she had asked all the shops there and they wouldnt even help just pick up a phone to call a taxi as she had money to pay.. The staff here not only rang but spoke with her and gave her water and offered a lift if the taxi didnt show. What a lovely bunch of people. And shame on the rest of those shops .”

“Ordered food for delivery took an hour to arrive … stone cold and chips not cooked and the curry was so watered down it was more like yellow water than any curry … as a result it leaked and soaked over everything .. genuinely never seen such a sorry state of a meal in my life I never new you could mess up a chip roll so badly but they managed it .. deffo the worst place to buy anything never ever again will I waste my money there and neither anyone else”

“Food was terrible and not cooked! Partner called at fish shop on way home to pick up food, got home and one portion wasn’t cooked and the other portion was cold! Took them back and the meals were replaced and when returning home, again chips were not cooked tidy and hard. Meals just went straight in the bin! Would not recommend this place for food.”
