  “Tried this takeaway for the first time and wished I hadn’t….. The food was delivered on time but unfortunately it had no taste whatsoever and was a massive disappointment. I will not return and consider my £36 bill a total waste of money…”

  “Placed an order at 5pm today. It’s now 19.29 and it’s still not here. I called and got told 40 minutes ago my food was on its way, it’s a 15 minute drive if that. Called the shop was constantly ringing and ringing with no answer. 2 and a half hours and still no food. Wouldn’t waste my time again. Service used to be so good now it’s very very poor.”

  “So disappointed. Ordered chicken chow mein and it tasted like old noodles, super bland, super rubbery/chewy, not fresh at all and doubt they even bothered to cook them in soy sauce - it was like a bad microwaved meal. Sweet and sour sauce - watery and bland, chicken balls were the only good dish that tasted fresh. Never again.”

  “This was a takeaway. We use this place on a regular basis. The food has always been good. And we have always been advised on the wait time. No problems with this. However, today's order was atrocious. The crispy duck. Was certainly crispy, inf act so crispy I think it was left to cook from yesterday. Next to no duck on it. The pork dish was not what I ordered and the rest of the food was bland at best. I am deeply sorry to say I won't be ordering from here again. It's a shame a it was a great takeaway.”

  “Absolutely delicious! I’ve eaten at Charlie Chan’s a few times now, and it never disappoints. The food is always fresh, hot, and full of flavour. The crispy duck is especially good – tender meat with perfectly crunchy skin. Staff are friendly and attentive, and service is quick even when they’re busy. Great portion sizes too – you really get value for money. One of the best Chinese takeaways/restaurants in Eastbourne. Highly recommend!”

  “Well, we have tried quite a few Chinese places and on a whim we decided to try this one. The food was amazing. All the dishes tasted authentic. And not covered in oil or sweet sauce. You could actually taste the vegetables. The chicken in yellow bean with cashews was gorgeous. Will definitely be back. Pricing was very good too. Lovely find. Thank you.”
