  “We had the smashed burger,salad,bacon,onion rings and chips for our meal and two pints of ale. The service was spot on and food came out in good time. The burger was very nice and the meal was filling, a good sized portion at a reasonable price £14.95. The menu was not overstretched and had all the classic pub meals on it, something for almost everyone. Would go back again,definitely.”

  “Popped in for the Dereham Blues festival. This pub nailed it, big outside area to listen to the music, hay bales to sit on. Plenty of indoor seating. Pity music not fed through inside. Good atmosphere. Drinks reasonable. Did not try the food as we had a hefty lunch in Wymondham, else we would have.”

  “No carpark, but one within walking distance, it was meant to have music start at 8pm, but was late, and not many people there, so we left at 9pm as a bit boring, sorry. I think it's more of a restaurant.”

  “Really good portions. Had an issue with one meal was fixed quickly, and had drinks on the house Lovely team. Man I believe to be the chef is lovely Would come back for s ash burgers.”

  “UPDATE 13/09/2024 | I returned today, the service and meal were even better than my first visit. Very happy and satisfied. Photos will be added this time. Thank you. The Stars awarded have now increased from 4/5 service and 4/5 atmosphere to MAX stars. Awesome. Great food. I had a Texas barbecue burger, with fries and 2 onion rings. For a drink, I had Coke with a shot of lime cordial. The whole meal was great. I was in at around midday, so was a bit quiet . That's perhaps the reason the atmosphere felt strained and a bit serious. Or maybe it was because I'm not a known regular customer. Will i be back? Yes. I didn't grab a picture on this occasion, but I will next time.”

  “Visited the nearby escape rooms and got hungry. We came here and had lasange and a mixed grill with a side of fries and bbq wings. The steak was cooked to medium very accurately which was a nice surprise as we've visited some much pricier places previously, even steakhouses who have got it so wrong and overcooked it. The lasagne was also surprisingly tasty and presented well with a little side salad and parsley garnish. The wings were not very good unfortunately but the fries were great. Overall, the prices are very reasonable and the food is good for what you do pay. There is a nice, good sized outside area and the pub itself is pretty spacious. The fizzy drinks were kind of flat but all in all I still give 4*. The staff seemed nice and were all very busy. Dereham was a nice little place to visit.”

  “Under new management. Popped in midweek. Food was ok, service very prompt and efficient. Would go back. Husband curry was quite watery so probably wouldn't order that again but the burger was good.”
