Customer Review Summary
Diners most often return for tasty, quickly ready food from friendly staff, with the spring rolls singled out as yum and one order described as ready on time and piping hot. Several regulars, one citing over ten years of use, say they never go elsewhere, and newcomers to the area call it exactly what a good Chinese takeaway should be. The criticism is sharper but less common. Three reviewers report bland or poorly cooked food: chicken balls with mushy, partially cooked batter and tasteless sweet and sour sauce, white rice that did not taste fried, chicken sweet corn soup compared to salted water, stale prawn crackers, and oyster sauce described as coagulated. One of them says the chicken seemed uncooked and worries about an upset stomach afterward. Another found the chicken a tad chewy but liked the rest. One reviewer also objected that prices at ordering were higher than the online menu. Another notes the staff will pack the order as plastic free as possible when asked.

“The food was so bland. Wandering dragon with coagulated oyster sauce. It was tasteless. Really poor”

“Here for a few days only, so first time using this Chinese and the food was delicious. Would definitely recommend and I think it was a little cheaper than we're used to nearer home too!”

“Awful!! Partially cooked (mushy inside of batter) chicken balls with tasteless sweet and sour sauce, white "fried rice" didn't taste like it was fried, chips ok. Won't be returning will be going back to our usual haunt Melbourne Kitchen.”

“Dragon court is our local Chinese and its extremely disappointing for what you’d expect of a takeaway establishment, especially for a takeaway in a nice village. First of all, the prices are totally different from the menus online! More expensive when you actually order. Secondly, it says on the online menu that they accept cards… they do not! More importantly, the food. Chicken was cold, dry and just generally awful. Not sure it was actually cooked so I’m hoping we don’t have bad stomachs tomorrow. The rice was undercooked, The prawn crackers were stale and disgusting, The chicken sweet corn soup literally just tasted like water with a bit of salt. One of the worst takeaways we’ve ever had and a complete waste of our money.”
