  “i’ve ordered from here several times and typically i don’t have any issues. today though, it was a serious let down. i ordered a large jerk lamb meal w white rice & plantain on uber eats. when it arrived, the portion size was completely ridiculous - definitely not a large. i tried calling several times with no response so i decided to drive down and speak to someone in store. when i got there, not a single person greeted me. multiple staff members looked over and said absolutely nothing. i continued waiting and eventually a lady spoke with me. when i explained the situation she said she’d show her manager and fix it. baring in mind i wasn’t the only person who had been waiting and not been seen to, another customer had to audibly ask all of the staff if anyone was serving. since there was no communication in the way of how long it would take i overheard the lady saying to another customer the wait for the jerk lamb would be 5-10 mins, so i had to ask her if that would be the same for mine. i got my food, the portion was corrected, and i asked for a portion of jerk sauce to which i was told i’d have to pay extra for. obviously in my outrage i asked her if she was joking. she ended up not charging me but i just think the customer service on a whole was a mess. nothing in the way of compensation at all, and proper impolite staff. i wouldn’t have even bothered to leave this review had i not come home and realised my lamb was purely fat and bones. the taste was on point like always but after this whole experience i’m left feeling disappointed tbh.”

  “Not sure about the rest of the menu as I’ve not tried it but their jerk menu has never failed me! The manager Tanisha alone would make me give this place 5*. Always willing to go the extra mile,nothing is ever a bother. Flavour Boss is lucky to have her, credit to the business.”

  “Visited this place yesterday for my dinner I ordered Jerk Chicken with rice and peas and a lamb patty. The portions was on the small side especially for the price £10 for not even a full chicken thigh and some rice is a bit of a rip off in my opinion considering I have paid £7 for the exact same meal which was alot nicer at other establishments. The rice and peas where nice could have done with some seasoning and to have been a bit warmer the chicken tasted good but it was the driest chicken I have ever eaten some of it had gone hard where it was so ever cooked. The patty was nice. I will not be going back. Edited to reply to owner. I have had Jerk Chicken several times I have never had such a dry Jerk Chicken. I was not able to return the dish due to getting it while on lunch break during work. Compared to others it was a small portion. I cant forget about others as its what everyone compares to is what they have had before. The owner clearly has a very bad attitude and can not take criticism. Should not be in the food service industry if you cant take criticism!”

  “Had a home delivery from this shop. Disgusting. Rice and peas was soggy and soo salty. Lamb curry, bones and fat. Tasted nothing like jerk. The lamb chops were tough and fatty. Felt grey were deep fried like the uncooked plantain. Taking payment for this rubbish is WRONG.”

  “Proper good food and decent portions. The jerk chicken was full of flavour, nicely seasoned and cooked well. Rice and peas were on point too and everything tasted fresh. Staff were friendly and service was quick even when it was busy. Definitely one of the better Caribbean spots I’ve tried, will be coming back again.”

  “I ordered fish and chips, sorrel and jerk chicken leg peice. The fish and chips was really nice , i would have liked more of the escoviche on my fish, but very lovely otherwise. The chicken was sweet? Im not sure about the sweetness. The sorrel punch it tasted like there could have been a ribena or black currant cordial added? I felt like i drank cordial its not sugary sweet but sweetener sweet? the sauce that came with the chips though? Banging.”

  “My partner is fussy as he believes his the only one who can cook jamaican food. But this place right here had him lickimg his fingers and going back for more. I love the jerk platter, and everything with it. Definitely recommend, the portions are amazing for the price.”

  “In Croydon, there's no better place fi jerk (I've tried several), and I'd also rate Flavour Boss as one of the best if not the best Jerk takeout in London. Good food comes to those who wait, real talk. I'm glad they have reopened and upgraded, pushing Jamaica food higher and higher. When it comes to their food, everything is 💯 from the rice & peas, to their flavourful flakey patties; but of course the Jerk is the winner, especially the Pork! 🇯🇲🔥”
