About The Old Rock Shop Bistro
The Old Rock Shop Bistro operates as a cafe and breakfast restaurant on Hamilton Road in Cromer, with a catering arm that supplies buffets and delivered food for events. The menu leans toward a daytime format: breakfast plates such as avocado on toast with feta, and lunch items including a Ham and Brie baguette with chilli jam, alongside a crab sandwich built around local Cromer crab. Homemade soup pairs with homemade cheese scones as a recurring option. The drinks list covers coffee staples, with cappuccinos and mochas poured throughout the day, and brown sugar arrives in a jar rather than sachets. Dogs are welcomed on site. Lunchtime is the busy window, and waits for a table are common at peak, so booking a table ahead is recommended.

“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The Rock Shop Bistro is without a doubt one of our favourite places, and we’re regular visitors! We’re so lucky to have such a lovely little establishment just near us. My absolute favourite is the homemade soup, especially when paired with their homemade cheese scones — absolutely delicious! For breakfast, my go-to is the avocado on toast with feta, which is honestly one of my favourites. We also regularly pop in for cappuccinos and mochas, which are always lovely. They have the option to dine in or takeaway, which is really useful, particularly as they can get very busy. I would definitely recommend booking or reserving a table when you can during peak times. For lunch, the ham and Brie baguette with chilli jam is another firm favourite of ours, and their Cromer crab is absolutely fabulous too. There’s always something delicious on the menu, the food is homemade and you can really tell the care that goes into it. We would always recommend the Rock Shop Bistro — a real favourite of ours! ❤️ Cosy vibes and friendly staff”

“Super nice staff. Our dog was very welcome and staff made a fuss of him. Crab sandwich was a delight. Gets busy at lunchtime.”

“Excellent selection of breakfast, brunch, lunch, sweet and savoury snacks. Great service. Great food. Good coffee. The food here was the nicest we had all week. We will be back on our next visit.”

“We ordered the breakfast stack and the avocado toast with a side of pancakes , we came here because the reviews online were good but I’m not sure what’s the obsession with stacking food on top of each other , it’s hard to eat as you just seperate the food anyway. We wanted to try this place but I wish they just did a small cooked breakfast and a regular cooked breakfast, easy and simple. The pancakes were nice but quite dry without the maple syrup , the cappuccino was okay but I did think it good that the brown sugar was in a jar instead of the silly little sachets most places give you. We didn’t really get greeted on entrance more of a ‘there’s a table over there’ but the ladies did say goodbye funnily enough. I think some music in the background would of been good , overall I think the food was pretty mid , nothing to get excited about or go home thinking wow that was really great.”
