About The Cabin Cafe, Faygate
The Cabin Cafe, Faygate is a family-run cafe on the A264 Crawley Rd in Crawley, operating as a trucker's caff since 1932. Showers and overnight facilities give HGV drivers a place to wash and stay the night, and the car park has room for cars and HGVs alike. The kitchen cooks full English breakfasts and makes sandwiches and baps, and evening meals come with mash and veg. A log burner sits inside the cafe. On site, a small farm shop sells local Kent produce, including honey and juices, and a car wash is also available. Dogs are welcome.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often come for the full English breakfast, praising the hearty fry-up with crispy hash browns, sunny side eggs and strong tea, and one calls the bacon great. Close behind is the welcome, with several describing friendly ladies, a chat at the counter and a log burner keeping the place toasty. One late-evening visitor had a beef and Guinness pie with peas, carrots, cabbage, mash and plenty of gravy, and called it fantastic. Many frame it as a proper transport cafe for lorry drivers and travellers, with plenty of parking for cars and wagons, a shower and overnight facilities, and a small farm shop selling local fruit and honey. Reviewers also describe low prices and old-fashioned meals like mum used to make. The one lukewarm note comes from a diner who found a cheese burger with mushrooms and onions decent-ish but a little pricey. Another mentions the dual carriageway making the return journey awkward. Reviewers repeatedly mention the condiments on the tables, including proper English mustard rather than fiddly plastic sachets.

“Nothing flash just good old fashioned grub, Fry ups and some meals like mum used to make. The ladies are lovely and the prices are great. It's not a high end restaurant it's a transport cafe and it's not pretending to be anything else. If you want a full stomach some friendly chat and some change in your pocket it's just the place”

“Nice little cafe, in a great easy location with plenty of parking. Really friendly peopke with a wide menu selection. Bacon was great, and reasonable prices.”

“Called in on the way to Brighton for a bite to eat with my wife, and can honestly say that this is the best breakfast we have had in the South of England yet. food wise it was spot on. We can both say this as we had our own cafe in Liverpool on a very busy market. "Greatie" for those who know for years. The staff were absolutely fantastic and the service was second to none. Ideal for truckers and ordinary travellers too. Plenty of parking for cars as well as wagons. Bang it into the satnav as it's just as you come off the roundabout. Happy eating. And thanks again for the lovely chat and food ladies. Paddy and Sharon. Liverpool”

“Decent-ish Cheese Burger with Mushrooms & Onions for £7, a little pricey if you ask me! Good parking especially for HGV’s, a cute little Farm Shop selling Cherries, Strawberries, Peaces, Tomatoes, Honey & Juices all locally from Kent apparently..”

“Great for a trucker's tacho break if you're travelling from Horsham to Crawley. The dual carriageway makes it a bit awkward on the return journey but worth the detour if you have time.”
