  “I have been a few times and honestly love the place but today was SO BAD, I never normally moan as they are fantastic, but today I decided to stop for their wonderful breakfast,, So rather than moan here is a list of what went wrong 1) Standing like a lemon at the front people were about but all grouped together 2) Ordered breakfast and then wondered where the toast was 3) The Sausages we coldish in the middle 3) After eating half my breakfast , no toast arrived and when i looked for any servers there were none only the cook. 4) The queue by the Till was getting long 5) Eventually I called to the cook area and asked can I have my toast 6) He said he said it was coming but now I have all but finished 7) I could not be bothered to complain about the coldish sausages or the toast but when I went to pay the person said "he took the cost of the toast off, I said it would have been nicer if I could have eaten it with my breakfast , he said sorry. What a mess, still only two people at the front, the cook and the male server. what's happened to the place hope it was a one off !! Because I would never normally dream of complaining but today was bad! Cold food poor service , I know you do better”

  “I visited Billy's two days in a row last month during a stay at the travel lodge next door. Immediately loved the design and aethestic of the place, and it seems to attract a nice bunch of people that provides a relaxed vibe. The menu is massive with the option to build your own breakfast. The service was great, even on the second day when it was super busy! We enjoyed our food both times and would definitely recommend as a stop off for anyone in the area 👍”

  “Diner literally by the side of the road. Always seems busy, however staff seem used to it, not flustered. Amazing variety of food on menu, fantastic variety of breakfasts alone. Very fast service, wonderfully cooked and very fast and very hot. Great atmosphere, everyone chats to each other, good mix of patrons.”

  “Great food but very dirty restaurant! We come at least 3-4 times a year as we really enjoy the breakfasts, but Billy's really needs to sort out their cleaning. Floors and walls are noticeably dirty and don't get me started on their bathrooms. It really put me off our lovely breakfast this morning and would seriously consider not returning. Staff are friendly and service is quick.”

  “We recently moved to this area and drove past this cafe and few times. Visited today and had lovely food and good friendly helpful staff. There is plenty of parking and lots of seating. Good extensive menu and good value for money. We had a couple of Billy's big breakfasts and a kids meal with nice drinks, tea and coffee followed by ice cream all was very nice and we look forward to coming back. Very happy and highly recommend.”

  “Previously this was a Little Chef. Now, an independent cafe. No idea why it is called what it is - would be interested to know or see that on the menu. I would describe it as a ‘Greasy Spoon’. Meant positively. A breakfast place that does burgers also. You can order a Builder’s cup of tea. Love it! The menu has the classic British breakfast menu with some additions of the Cowboy breakfast (steak, eggs, and chips), and some spicy chorizo dishes, spicy Avocado dishes and specials too - like haddock chowder. The service reminds me of a family waiting service. Friendly, welcoming and not too formal. Our dishes were hot, tasty, and as I expected. Recommended for a breakfast or brunch with friends and family. No airs and graces. Just good food, good service and at a good price.”

  “First visit to this fine establishment today. The sun was shining and my tummy rumbled louder than the exhaust on the bike. Was sorted out by some lovely girls with smiles and amicability and a chef who mustered up a blinding Ham, Egg and Chips. A round of super soft bread and butter and a generous latte all for a sniff under fifteen sovs and I was back on the road with a smile on me boat race and an intention to visit again. Lovely gaff, clean, friendly and great food. What’s not too like 👍🏿”

  “I found this one tricky to score. I've been before and it was fine but today was not good. If it was just today it would be 1 star but I'd like to think it was a one off so I've given it 3. The restaurant is nice with great quirky decorations and a model railway in the table. Its very busy at weekends so it can't be that bad. We ordered a banana milkshake, a glass of water, a cheese and tomato toastie, a cheese and red onion marmalade toasties and a bowl of French fries. The glass of water smelt of egg and wasn't very clean, the milkshake should of had fresh fruit and ice cream but was very runny and bland. I could hardly taste the banana. The service was good. The food arrived quite quickly but not all together. The chips were lovely. The cheese seemed to be really oily and tasted greasy. The toast was soggy and it left a funny taste in our mouths. Like I said its hopefully a one off and I would like to try something different to give Billy's another chance.”
