Customer Review Summary
Chicken dishes draw the warmest praise, led by a chicken satay one reviewer calls mildly spicy with great flavour. Close behind are a Kung Po chicken with plenty of veg and a spicy chilli chicken with curry sauce, which a visitor from Australia looked forward to all month. Service is described as quick, with one order ready within minutes. Also noted are a honey chilli chicken that one diner found sickly sweet and chicken balls with a bit too much batter. The complaints carry real weight, though. Longtime customers say the beef has turned thick, chewy and slimy over the last month or more, and the fried rice is described as burnt, hard or lukewarm. Chips are called dry and hard as a rock by more than one reviewer, and one sausage supper arrived without the peas requested twice. Another reviewer reports a meal missing from a charged delivery order, with the shop offering a free meal on the next order instead.

“Got an order earlier tonight, they got one of my orders wrong,I asked for one chip and got two which were absolutely disgusting were hard as a rock, mustn't change the oil they use, binned all the chips, safe to say I will not be back again so disappointed”

“Very disappointed when a meal was missing from our order, even though we had been charged. When I rang up to explain the situation, I was told they couldn’t get the rest of the delivery out to us as they were very busy as we could have a free meal on our next order !!!!!!!!!! Very poor”

“Rotten greasy burnt fried rice as hard as the road. Have been using this Chinese for years but since last year they seem to be experimenting with cheaper ingredients e.g. the mushy cubed chicken last year for about 2 months that was a supplier issue, people writing about the beef and now the rice has gone down hill in the last week.”

“We have been coming for years but not sure what has happened to the beef they now use. Tonight was our 4th and final chance. The beef has been thick, chewy and slimy the last month or more. Sadly we will have to find a new Chinese. Gutted as this used to be the best in town”

“I got a beef with chilli sauce and fried rice.. Good: Taste, exactly as it says, chili.. no hints of garlic/ginger/other spices, for me bland, but maybe I should have ordered something else. quantity, plenty of beef and veg. service, order was ready 5mins after ordering! Bad: Rice was lukewarm and obviously sitting around, but, it's also probably why it was so quick. Only take cash... Literally every employee and customer has the ability to accept/receive any amount of money at any time through their phone. I understand why they do it, but it still annoys me because instead of spending £9, the meal price, I've now spent a tenner and the bank isn't open until Monday for me to deposit it into my acc.. oh wait, It's already vanished.”
