Customer Review Summary
Chicken dishes anchor the praise, with diners singling out the chicken tikka as well marinated and tender, and the chicken tikka masala and butter chicken as right in portion size. Close behind, reviewers name the lamb tikka biryani, tarka daal and spicy king prawns as generous takeaway orders, and the garlic mushrooms as delicious. Several describe polite, welcoming waiters, and one says the food is made to order and fresh, with slow service that suited a long catch up. The complaints are sharper. One reviewer found the chicken tikka masala and lamb korma bland, the samosas tiny, and felt servers pushed more alcohol. A family describes a staff member who tutted at their child, brought the wrong rice without offering to change it and refused free takeaway trays. Another diner found the aloo chaat served hot and sweet rather than cold. One reviewer who asked to move away from a loud table was given a seat in a quieter part of the restaurant.

“Hands down the worst restaurant dining experience I’ve ever had. The food was completely tasteless and bland!! At an Indian restaurant!. Hardly what you would expect. The samosas which were £5 each were miniature, just so tiny! The chicken tikka masala was completely lacking in any flavour as was the lamb knorma. The servers seemed only interested in trying to get you to order more alcohol. The check was £60!”

“Had loads of takeaways from here but last night was the first time we had ate in. 8 of us. I’ll keep this brief: service was slow but perfect for us as we were catching up and weren’t in a rush. And here’s the point: THE FOOD IS MADE TO ORDER AND IS FRESH. AND BEAUTIFUL! It’s not a fast food joint as I think some of the other customers need to realise. Some were really rude to the waiter and I felt for him, having to deal with folk who should know better. We left last after a great night and the waiter apologised but we reassured him-he was ace. If you want a lovely meal, good wine, the chance to catch up and unwind, this place is perfect. If you’ve just finished a shift, wear lots of hi-viz, swear like a trooper, are a bit racist, are unable to talk without shouting, can I humbly request you go elsewhere as the rest of us want to have a nice time.”

“Tasty authentic Bangladeshi food! I'm South Asian and have grown up with both good and bad Indian/Bengali food. The food here is the real deal. Tasty, spicy and authentic. We ordered lamb tikka biryani, tarka daal (lentils) and spicy king prawns for takeaway. All very well made and in generous portions! Halal food as well. One of the top South Asian takeaways we've had, whilst on holiday. Our complements to the chef 🧑🍳”

“Wonderful food. Attentive waiters. Good value for money. Even better than our Indian at home. Do visit here. It's well worth it.”

“I never put reviews but after the way myself, my wife and 3 year old were treated tonight I feel I have to. As soon as we walked in and were shown to a table one member of staff was utterly rude and obnoxious. (Short older man) THIS IS NOT A FAMILY FRIENDLY RESTAURANT. When I was walking my child back from the bathroom the certain member of staff started shaking his head and waving his hand at us both as apparently we were in his way and he couldn't wait 5 seconds. He brought the wrong rice out and basically said it was the same and we shouldn't be complaining. Did not offer to change it. Spent our entire meal with him tutting and shaking his head at our child. She was very well behaved and just sat at her seat talking and eating, not making a noise or fuss. Made the entire evening unbearable tbh. When we asked for takeaway trays as we had ordered a lot of food he said NO. He said that if I wanted some takeaway trays then I would be charged £6.50. I asked to speak to the manager, to which he said he was the manager. This was a lie. I explained to him if I ordered takeaway I wouldn't be charged for the trays and he didn't charge the family next to us. I spoke to another member of staff and he could only apologise for his behaviour. Stated they don't charge for take out trays. When the other waiter brought our takeaway trays, the obnoxious animal decided to come over and abuse us again. I had to tell him to get away from the table and don't come back to us again. Disgusting behaviour and will never return”
