Customer Review Summary

Breakfast is the main draw, with reviewers repeatedly praising the big breakfast and its well-cooked poached eggs, bacon and sausage. The hash benedict, with crispy hash browns, spinach and hollandaise, gets particular praise, and the avocado crush with eggs and a breakfast with waffles also please. Close behind are lunch plates such as a prawn Marie Rose sandwich, a halloumi avocado bagel and roasted vegetables in ciabatta, plus thin fries described as super crunchy, and well made coffee and tea. Many describe friendly service from the ladies, generous platters and reasonable prices. Reviewers note the cafe gets busy, and one suggests booking unless arriving before 9am. The criticisms are specific. One diner found the Egg Benedict overcooked with hard boiled eggs, and a full English underwhelming, though the tea was very good. Another parent was told pushchairs are not accepted and had to leave a travel system at the door, which they found poorly handled. One first-time visitor was brought an iced coffee that was not on the menu, which the waitress happily made.

“Popped in today without booking, no problem, got a table. Both of us had the breakfast, had originally gone on for Tea and Cake but the breakfast looked so good. It was lovely, bacon cooked well, sausage was gorgeous, egg perfect, beans just the right amount for me, toast lovely. Will definitely be back.”

“Popped in this week for a late breakfast, I had the big breakfast which was delicious and the poached eggs were perfectly cooked! My partner had the avocado crush with eggs and she was very pleased. All washed down with a nice coffee and cup of tea. Lovely cafe, will be coming back soon!”

“Delicious roasted vegetables in ciabatta with salad, Parmesan and balsamic glaze, I had to drink was tea, friendly service as they come to you and lots of choices to eat if you coming here, would recommend it, busy atmosphere”

“Food lovely but avoid if you have babies, I’m absolutely appalled by the service delivered by waiters looked down on for having a newborn baby. “We don’t accept pushchairs” I had to leave my over £1000.00 travel system at the door. The attitude this was delivered in was appalling customer service training is most definitely required”

“What an absolute gem on Seaview Street, Cleethorpes. Privately owned and you can tell!! Warm, engaging service, great food and a lovely environment. The place deservedly gets busy, so unless you arrive before 9am it's best to book. Definitely worth a visit.”
