“We ordered our food for collection and it was ready well within the 15 minutes provided. It was our 1st time using Gourmet Gardens and it did not disappoint!! Staff are warm friendly and welcoming. Food is soooo tasty, hot and fresh! Would definitely recommend.”

“Gourmet Garden opposite The Three Jays Pub. I read previous reviews before ordering & they were a mixed bag, but we fancied a chinese. I'm sorry to say that I have to agree with the less favourable reviews. The staff were lovely, but the food was not. When you buy a Chinese, usually your car fills with a delightful aroma on the journey home, not this time, there was nothing. It all looked fine on opening & adequately warm but certainly not freshly cooked hot (we were staying 5-6 minutes from the shop). Again, no salivating inducing aroma on opening. Dished up & all looked ok. First mouthful... Virtually ZERO FLAVOUR! A pot noodle has more flavour. My husbands curry was creamy, then a nasty spice zing hits your throat, like you get from a cheap packet mix & the chicken was dry. The chicken balls were edible, the bbq sauce 'ok', the egg fried rice was fine. The chow mein was disappointingly flavourless. The prawn crackers texture literally like a cross between rice paper & polystyrene & they were really stale. So although 'edible', it's chineISH at best, but don't expect all those lovely chinese flavours that you know & love. Would I buy again... Although the price was 'reasonable' for a set meal for one, highly unlikely. Very underwhelming. I can only assume those saying the food is great & the best they've ever had, must have spent the day drinking in the Three Jay's, eaten at some REALLY bad places in the past, or simply have no taste buds.”
