About Stretton Hall Farm Tea Rooms
Stretton Hall Farm Tea Rooms is a tea room in Chesterfield, based at Stretton Hall Farm and sharing the site with a working farm shop. A covered area beside the shop has a log burner and blankets, which gives visitors a way to stay warm while they eat and drink. The menu starts with breakfast, from a full breakfast to cobbs filled with bacon, egg and sausage. Later choices include jacket potatoes, panini, meat pies, chips and sandwiches. Tea comes loose leaf or in a teapot, and the cake selection includes iced coffee with a slice. The small farm shop sits across from the cafe. Service is self-service: guests pick their own table, order at the till and collect their own cutlery.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the outdoor seating and views, with comfy chairs, blankets and a fire, alongside a farm shop across the way. Food draws praise too: a bacon, egg and sausage breakfast cobb, whose bacon and sausage one diner found high quality, plus a cream cheese and salmon sandwich, a festive afternoon tea with boxes for leftovers, and chips one reviewer calls the best they've had. Coffee and a large selection of cakes also get mentions, and staff are described as welcoming and friendly. Dogs being welcome is a plus for one visitor.

“View is good but 1 tea bag in a teapot isn’t sufficient. No sugar brought either. Hot chocolate was an extra quid for cream but wasn’t offered so just added onto the total without asking. Shop closed early, 3:45.”

“Disappointed. Small plate breakfast with one of each basic breakfast items and didn’t wow quality for price £12 each plus £1.50 for a piece of black pudding Cost £32.50 for two breakfast and two teas! Tea was £3.50 each and came with a half filled pot to do one cup. When asked why said it was because the teabags were weak, so put less water in 😳 I mean really, cost cutting at these prices! Basically you are paying more to sit on a nice veranda. Staff & service was good tho, but sorry to say not for us.”

“What a hidden gem ! My daughter took me there and she knows that I am particular about the places I go to. A very calm place, amazing views and a great ambience about it. Absolutely loved it and so looking forward to going again with my daughter. We don't get to see each other much so this is going to be one of our regulars from now on. I get my beers and she gets the iced coffee and cake ❤️”

“Excellent coffee and an unbelievable selection of cakes! Stretton Hall is a beautiful, scenic place to stop. The outdoor seating is 10/10—comfy chairs, blankets, and a fire make it feel really special. Great farm shop too. Picked up some beautiful free-range eggs for only £1.90 for 6. Highly recommend!”
