“Absolutely scammed went in for breakfeast was asked if I want chips or mushrooms with it wasn’t told it was extra and then asked for a water and brought me out bottled water ended payin £45 for 2 breakfeast absolutely ridiculous wasn’t bad food just not happy with the uninformative service they knew exactly what they were doing wouldn’t come back !”

“Been going to this cafe since the 1980s and not once in my life have I sat downstairs lol, but not been in a while. It has new ownership now I think and a bit of a face lift inside. The food has improved in my opinion, very tasty decent breakfast and friendly bloke server. Also a proper sized cup of tea, lovely.”

“There are many breakfast cafes in Chelmsford, but this one is always my go to. It's calm, the service is genuine and polite, and the food is always cooked well and in good time. The music isn't loud or intrusive. It's also very clean and tidy. Family run places like this should be cherished.”
