Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the choose-your-own pasta, where any sauce can be paired with any pasta shape, and several say they loved it. Lobster pasta, seafood parcels in lobster bisque, and a mussel special with a sauce one diner called the best they had eaten also draw praise, along with the pizza, garlic dough balls, and a fresh gluten free base that made a light, fluffy garlic bread. Close behind are the desserts, namely the toblerone cheesecake, tiramisu, and shared profiteroles with generous portions. Service is described as friendly and welcoming, and the small size gets repeated mentions, with several advising booking ahead. One reviewer was disappointed that no specials were on, leaving only pizza or pasta. The one low rating concerns a takeaway pizza slice, boxed before it was seen, with a very thick base, little topping, and tasteless cheese, which they felt was poor value. Another visitor notes takeaway was not available, and a 50th celebration ended with plans to return with the family.

“Delightful Italian restaurant in the heart of Ingleton. Its a small and intimate. The food is wonderful. I had the mussels special to start and I can honestly say its the best mussel sauce I have ever eaten. Main was seafood parcels in a lobster bisque. If it had been polite to lick the bowl clean, I would have! Profiteroles (shared with my husband because the portions are generous) for dessert and we left happy and full.”

“We stopped here after a 2½-hour walk in the rain because the signs advertising “pizza slices to go” and “authentic Italian” sounded exactly what we were looking for. We ordered two slices at £6 each. They were already boxed up before we saw them, so it wasn’t until we got back to the car that we opened the box. To say we were disappointed would be an understatement. The slices bore little resemblance to what we’d expect from authentic Italian pizza. The base was extremely thick, there was very little topping, and the cheese tasted of nothing. Neither of us finished our slice. At £6 per slice, I expected something freshly made and of much higher quality. Instead, it felt very poor value for money and was one of the most disappointing takeaway pizzas I’ve had. I’ve attached a photo so others can judge for themselves before deciding whether it’s worth the price.”

“We had an excellent meal for 4. The real treat was fresh gluten free pizza bases, we asked for a GF garlic bread and it was truly delicious, light and fluffy with a crispy finish, so much better than those places that buy in their bases to cater for some. All the different pasta sauces we had really good flavours, thank you.”

“Lovely place where everything we ordered was super delicious, from the wine to their traditional tiramisu, and you can choose which type of pasta you want! The restaurant has only a few tables so booking is advised.”
