Customer Review Summary
Generous portions come up most, with one reviewer saying a starter and main is only for the very hungry. Diners single out the pasta and croquettes as delicious, and the vegetarian tart, mushroom bruschetta, garlic mushrooms on toasted ciabatta and a haloumi burger also earn praise. Service is called attentive without being intrusive, and the outdoor seating area is described as quiet and relaxing. The complaints are specific. One party arrived to find the fish and steak had not been delivered, and another group was refused food orders without a booking despite empty tables and an unanswered phone. The king prawns drew a dry, browned portion and a verdict of poor value, while the garlic prawns lacked garlic for another diner. One table was charged for a sauce they never ordered, and a few found the wine expensive. Reviewers also welcome the many gluten free options, and one calls the gluten free chocolate brownie divine.

“Always a treat to visit here. Service is attentive without being intrusive. Plus it is great to see so many gluten free options on the menu. The gluten free chocolate brownie was divine!”

“Tried ringing to book, but no-one answered the phone. Arrived to see plenty of spare tables only to be told food orders are only being taken for bookings! Why advertise outside that food is being served when it’s not unless you’ve booked, all in all a very disappointing experience! We took our money elsewhere.”

“Great food. Staying nearby and wandered in. What great food. The Vegetarian Tart is fantastic! The mushroom bruschetta perfect! The burger was fantastic too! Something for everyone. And all done great. The outdoor seating area was quiet and very relaxing.”
