  “We had a wonderful time at Flat Iron Cambridge on Sep 23rd! Romeo greeted us when we arrived and I mentioned that it was my first time dining at Flat Iron after hearing so much about it from my husband. When we were leaving, he remembered what I’d said and asked how we enjoyed our meal. He even gifted us two of the little cleavers! Such a thoughtful gesture and a lovely touch to our visit. Thank you Romeo for the wonderful service ☺️”

  “Just visiting Cambridge so unfamiliar with Flat Iron, we popped in on the off-chance. There was a great reception on arrival and a 40 minute wait for a table felt like an endorsement of the restaurant not an inconvenience. Great table, attentive service, a simple menu (a blessing in these days of too many choices) and a lovely selection of wines and beers. Perfectly cooked steak. Good value for great quality.”

  “Food was excellent! Ordered a medium-cooked Wagyu steak & medium-rare-cooked 35-Day aged ribeye and they were amazing! Had truffled macaroni cheese & their house-specialty fries for the sides which were also delightful! AND the free ice cream after (we got a Haitian Vanilla and Brown butter that day)!!! 😋”

  “The service was exceptional and the atmosphere was great. You can see the staff here really works hard to make sure everyone has a great dining experience! Quality of the steaks are good for the price point and I’d recommend the flat iron over the ribeye. I also got a burger which is a good alternative option for anyone in a group who doesn’t want steak. The sauces and chips were average but the complimentary ice cream at the end was very delicious!”

  “We came here for lunch on a Sunday without reservation. We got seated immediately but we did have to sit upstairs. The service was fine, they offered to top up our pop corn and took our orders promptly. The steak was cooked perfectly, the sides were delicious too - we opted in for the bone marrow mash, roasted aubergine and mac&cheese. The beers are served in 2/3 pint which is actually a perfect amount in my opinion. In the end we got tokens for their free ice cream that is served at the exit. I wasn't sure what to expect, I thought it would the cheapest watery ice-cream since it's free. But I was wrong, it was really nice vanilla soft serve with chocolate dusting. My little one was super happy!”

  “Flat Iron is a family favourite, first time in Cambridge branch. Level of service superb, food delicious as ever along with all other aspects of the experience. Good sound track. Amy was a very cheerful, efficient and warm waitress. Nothing to complain about. Lovely.”

  “I had an amazing experience here. I tried the Today's Choice Wagyu Sirloin Steak, and it was honestly one of the best steaks I've ever had. It was cooked perfectly, incredibly tender, and packed with flavor. The quality of the beef really stood out. The service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere made the whole dining experience even better. If you're in Cambridge and looking for an excellent steak, I highly recommend giving this place a try!”

  “A good steak restaurant in the city centre, walking distance from the Grand Arcade car park. We had a table booked for a Saturday at 6:30 pm. The waiting time at that time was around 15 mins (as told to another customer). The decor is unremarkable with the minimalist style that is now very common. The menu is primarily drinks, steaks and a few sides. No dessert, no selection of sides like onion rings etc. Steak: we chose the big 450g wagyu rib eye steak rare. It was a bit pricey (£55) but an excellent quality. The other one was a standard 35 day aged ribeye steak, rare, which was also excellent. We were completely fooled by a side called crispy bone marrow mash, which I thought would be the bone marrow served with garlic (had this in Latin American countries), which is essentially a potato mash (the name potato doesn't feature in the menu at all). It was a let down. No dessert. Choice of sides are limited.”

  “We had the absolute pleasure of being served by Ella at Flat Iron Cambridge on Saturday, 7 March 2026, and she was truly exceptional. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Ella is beautiful inside and out and made our whole table feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. Her knowledge of the menu was fantastic, she answered every question with confidence and guided us through the choices perfectly. One of our guests has a severe nut allergy, and Ella handled this with incredible care and professionalism. She ensured everything was completely safe, which meant so much to us and allowed everyone to relax and fully enjoy the meal. We were a table of six celebrating a birthday, and nothing phased her at all. She was calm, organised, and wonderfully charismatic throughout the evening. Service like this truly makes a difference to the dining experience. Ella is a real asset to the team. Thank you for making our night at Flat Iron so special!”
