  “5* without a doubt. Superb food and lots of it. Great friendly service, no awkwardly long waits. Really good prices. We sat in the restaurant. I had chicken and sweet corn soup and fillet steak black bean sizzler... fantastic! Centrally located, tucked away in quiet street. Highly recommended!”

  “Wow! What a find. Probably the best Chinese meal we’ve ever had. We had the steamed aubergine in ginger and spring onion, chicken Szechuan, salt and pepper chips and egg fried rice. It was all amazing. It didn’t make us feel stodgy or like we overate like often happens after a Chinese meal. The steamed aubergine was so tasty and light, chicken Szechuan was great with lots of stir fried veg. Really friendly service by the waitress throughout and had a nice Chinese green tea to finish. Highly recommend!”

  “Been going here for years and attended for a birthday meal but unfortunately despite the great food and the staff who are so friendly and accommodating, the restraunt is cold and needs a very seriously well earned upgrade. I really do hope this happens.”

  “The restaurant atmosphere and setting is not the best, but the taste of the food was amazing and it gets a firm 5 stars from my wife and I. Piping hot, cooked to order and my wife asked for a few preferences and tasted amazing. The restaurant does takeaway as well so there were people in and out to collect, wait for and order food. This didn’t really bother us but it may do for others, I guess it depends on your expectations for the price. If you’re wanting a super upmarket / posh restaurant then this isn’t for you. If you want something down to earth with a friendly service and where the food taste and quality is more important than the setting then you’ll enjoy eating here. £39 for 2 main meals and 2 large bottles of beer.”

  “Fantastic!! Our Guesthouse owner told us about this Kwei Lin Chinese Restaurant in Buxton.. My word, this was a fantastic experience in Chinese gourmet... The Restaurant was splendid with its decor and soft Chinese music.. The delivery of the meal was superb, equally to its taste... The tableside service was brilliant, served with a heartwarming smile and pleasantries...”

  “Was a bit dark inside but the food on the whole was very good, I enjoyed being able to have steamed buns and the beef with honey and red dates which are not standard options. The hoisin sauce looked to have been microwaved, was the first time I've had it served warm, think I cold but the sauce itself was tasty.”
