  “Me and my 3 year old popped in after a snack, I had beans on toast which arrived tasting sour. Couldn't finish them. Gets very very busy in the evening. Staff are really warm, welcoming and friendly.”

  “Staff are amazing. Seamless order of pints at the bar the staff are so quick. Also had a booboo with the app and accidentally ordered food twice due to an error/glitch and Matthew sorted us out a refund promptly. Up the Prior John OI OI OI!!!”

  “Great place, great prices, good food and best of all clean, tidy, well presented and very efficient service. It seems to attract and nice bunch of people throughout the day. Love the little bits of history aswell. I'll definitely be returning to this place.”

  “If you are looking for a reliable, no-nonsense spot in Bridlington, The Prior John is difficult to overlook. Situated right on the Promenade, it’s a vast, lively space that makes clever use of its historic chapel origins. The architecture—particularly the high ceilings and the mezzanine seating—gives the place a much grander feel than you’d expect from the chain. The food is what you’d anticipate: classic pub fare delivered with consistency. It’s ideal if you’re looking for a quick, "man of the people" meal that is both filling and easy on the wallet after a walk along the coast. The service is generally efficient, especially if you make good use of the app, and the atmosphere is perpetually busy, which keeps the energy levels high.”

  “Very nice looking wetherspoons with plenty of space, similar to the other northern spoons ive gone to in relatively small towns. Has a very nice look to the outside which fits in with the other local architecture. Only went for a late breakfast and a couple of pints so can't speak for how it is as the day goes on. But can't complain when a big breakfast (with extras) and a pint of cider costs you less than 12 quid. If you're in the area and fancy a decent meal at a decent price, or even just want a cheap pint, would definitely recommend a stop in here.”

  “A typical Witherspoon pub in the centre of Bridlington. It was busy but we found a table easily. We ordered food at the bar. Three starters and dips, four main courses and four alcoholic drinks. The cost was £73.00 in total (we thought really good value for money). The food was brought to the table quickly. The majority of the food was excellent but one of the steaks had a large piece of gristle running through it. We did complain to the waiter but it sort of fell on deaf ears. The rest of the food was excellent. The atmosphere was friendly. We enjoyed our visit and we would eat here again.”
