About The George Gurkha Bar & Grill
The George Gurkha Bar & Grill is a Nepalese restaurant on Hollybush Road in Bridgnorth, run from a building that also houses a hotel and a pub, with a grill room taking the dining side. The kitchen reaches across the Indian restaurant and Nepalese ends of the menu, from chicken rogan josh served with chips and lamb bhuteko to chilli naan, tikka fried rice and daal makhani, with mains portioned around a generous amount of tender meat. Poppadoms and a pickle tray arrive at the table with the meal. Lamb chops feature as a starter. The dining room has a TV tucked in a small corner that does not affect the tables. The team behind the bar and the floor is described in reviews as friendly, efficient and helpful, working in a walk-in service.

“Staying at The George Gurkha Bar and Grill and thought it only right to eat there. ..wow...we shared lamb chops for starter along with poppadoms and pickle tray. Amazingly the pickle tray is included free of charge. My wife's main was chicken rogan josh with chips. I asked the delightful waitress for a recommendation which was Lamb Bhuteko with a chilli nasn and Tikka Fried Rice. Both main dishes were served with an amazing amount of the most tender meat. The chops were huge, chunky and cooked to perfection. The chilli nan was just as it sounds. Tikka fried rice could be a meal by itself. Besides the good food the waitresses / bar staff were absolutely lovely and so helpful. Never been to this area before but would recommendation the George to anybody. Loved the food, loved our stay and also loved the local people we met”

“I love the food and the vibe here, especially the daal makhani. I came back just for it. The staff are super polite, especially Aasha.”
