About Cobbles Kitchen
Cobbles Kitchen is a brunch restaurant at Tymaen Farm Buildings in Bridgend, set in a restored 16th-century Grade II Listed barn in Ogmore. The space is divided into three areas: The Kitchen, The Catch and The Deli. Breakfast and brunch are served daily, with the Full Welsh Breakfast, Reuben eggs Benedict and pancakes on the menu, and smaller versions of breakfast items for small appetites. Vegan and gluten-free choices are available too. Afternoon tea runs every weekend from midday, with sandwiches and homemade patisseries. The Hayloft function room hosts events, afternoon tea among them. The restaurant is open daily, daytime only. Tables can be booked, and a wait for food is common at busy times.

Customer Review Summary
Friendly, helpful staff come up in most reviews, with diners describing a welcoming team that answered questions, gave recommendations, and offered smaller versions of breakfast items for small appetites. The food is the next draw. The brisket, pie and kids meals are called out of this world, one reviewer calls an American biscuit sandwich unreal, and another rates the gravy 10/10. Cakes, big sandwiches and a cookie pie from the deli also earn praise, and brunch is described as made from scratch. Reviewers do raise trade-offs. One notes a wait for the food and says long queues are common, another finds the veggie and vegan offerings limited, one calls it a little pricey, and one found the diet coke flat and warm from a 2L bottle. A baby shower held in the Hayloft drew compliments on the room, the afternoon tea and the scones, and every guest left with a doggy bag.

“We hosted our long awaited baby shower at Cobbles in their Hayloft and we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect venue. Bliss was our contact and she was just as wonderful. All guests complimented both the room and food which was a delicious afternoon tea. Although per head, there is more than enough to go around & everyone took a little doggy bag home. Special mention for the scones!! We couldn’t recommend Cobbles enough, and enjoyed every moment. Even Stanley popped in for a photo and a sniff about the sausage rolls!! Thank you for making our day so special. Lots of love Nicola, Sam, Stan & Bump xxx”

“Great place. Drove past on the way to the beach and had to pop in on the way back. You have The Kitchen, The Catch and The Deli. We were serviced by the very happy and helpful Emma at The Deli. Loved the place, we’ve booked a table for later this week at The Kitchen.”

“Excellent experience overall. Lovely staff, amazing food. Pie / kids meals / brisket were out of this world. The cookie pie from the deli was also amazing. Tiny grumble that the diet coke was flat and a bit warm (was a hot day). They'd be better off using cans than 2L bottles. Didn't hamper what was areally great meal though. Bravo, well done. Can't wait to ho again”
