  “We enjoyed a great Sunday lunch at Bill’s Braintree, continuing the positive experiences we've had at Bill’s Oxford, Bluewater, and Soho. While the atmosphere at the Braintree restaurant didn't quite match the ambiance of those locations, the service more than made up for it. A special mention goes to Jaqs, who was exceptional throughout our visit. She was attentive, helpful, welcoming, and ensured every detail was taken care of. Her warm and professional approach significantly enhanced our overall experience. Thank you, Jaqs. Outstanding service really does make all the difference.”

  “Went here for a cuppa and ended up ordering unlimited packages!!! They were absolutely fantastic and mega filling. Service was really good and they were very polite. We will be back again when we are next in Braintree.”

  “Lily was great at helping with my son’s milk allergy. Drinks and order taken swiftly and staff were friendly. Food was yummy - we had a lovely family dinner of pancakes 🥞! Just what we needed :)”

  “Had a really great experience at Bills with my girlfriend, after not having been for quite a long time. Service was really stand out, and both Jacob and Cameron were excellent! Jacob in particular was excellent, super lovely and was brilliant with helping with my girlfriend's order who is both coeliac, and dairy intolerant - he was very patient and helped explain the menu and advise what she could/couldn't have. The food itself was also superb, didn't have to wait long at all between courses and the food was excellent. (Would definitely recommend the onion rings!) Will definitely be back!”

  “Had a wonderful meal out with my mum. Gluten allergies are taken seriously and well catered for with a separate menu. Food was outstanding and cocktails delicious. Lily and Laila took care of us and were wonderful. Will definitely be back.”

  “Ellie was our waitress this evening, she was professional and friendly with an energetic, bubbly personality, allowing us to have time when needed but checking in occasionally that everything was ok. We liked that she took the time to discuss different suggestions of what to eat from the menu & made us feel welcome. Our server, although we didn’t get his name (maybe a name tag would be a good idea) was polite & friendly ensuring that we had everything we needed. Music is a little loud which made us talk at a louder volume than we usually would.”

  “Spent £65 via Deliveroo and they delivered just after 9pm and every single burger was horrifically burnt! I nearly broke a tooth and we put it all in the bin! I took photos to prove how terrible the food was and the reason was obvious. We were one of the last orders before they closed so they simply reheated food that had been cooked earlier until it was inedible. I sent all the photos to Deliveroo who only refunded the cost of the burgers because the halloumi, fries and onion rings were ok they still left me having paid £23 for food that we put in the bin! The previous two times the food has been spot on and they put a card on the bag asking for a 5 star review! This time there was no card because the people sending it knew they’d delivered us burnt leftovers! I tried to call Bill’s but they only have a London number and when you get through you can’t speak to anyone just live chat!! I tried the live chat and everything is pre determined so you can’t complain or ask for money back it’s such a terrible way to run a business! Do not trust this place with your money we literally had the choice of feeding their burgers to our dog or the bin and we chose the bin!!!!”

  “Went here this week, fantastic food and wonderful service from Rita. However the restaurant is very very loud and we were seated by the toilet, which has a broken soft close, and every 30 seconds someone goes through the door which produces a bone shatteringly loud bang which can be felt through the chairs - this needs fixing!”

  “What a great restaurant, we’ve taken the kids to Bills before but this they say is their favourite. Food was great service was friendly and very accommodating making sure we had everything we needed.”
