Customer Review Summary
Pizza is the most frequent draw, with reviewers calling the pizzas exceptional and "to die for" and one singling out a pizza whose rich, indulgent cheese stole the show. Close behind is the Sunday roast, where diners describe chicken, lamb and beef with tender meat, generous portions, a huge Yorkshire pudding, cauliflower cheese and very good gravy. Starters get mentions too, including a prawn cocktail, chicken liver pate, mushrooms in gorgonzola and mussels in creamy white wine sauce with toasted bread. One visitor who is fussy about wine found the wine good. Staff are repeatedly described as friendly, welcoming and good with children, and several reviewers use the place for family gatherings and birthdays. The garden is called very nice, though one reviewer found the wind too cold and sat inside. No review raises a real complaint. One group celebrating a birthday had the kitchen plate brownies, tiramisu and strawberries with happy birthday written in chocolate, then boxed up the leftovers to take home.

“I absolutely love a good Sunday roast and often eat out on Sundays. Having visited so many places I can confidently say that The Yorkshire Rose has one of the best Sunday roasts I've ever had. I had the chicken roast while my partner chose the beef and both were outstanding. The meat was beautifully tender, the gravy was absolutely delicious and the portions were very generous. We were looked after by Emily and Alba, who made us feel so welcome. We genuinely felt at home and well looked after from start to finish. We'll definitely be back with our friends. Thank you so much for such an amazing afternoon xx”

“Booked for Sunday roast dinner, but for my mums birthday, I requested if something could be done with pudding to celebrate, her birthday. The place is beautiful, clean and stylish, Great friendly service, right from the get go to the finish. Great starters , we all had different, prawn cocktail with loads of prawns, chicken liver pate and mushrooms in gorganzola all so yummy. Then the roast, again we all had different ones, chicken, lamb and beef Absolutely delicious 😋 with roasted veg tatties and a huge Yorkshire pudding and a side dish of cauliflower cheese. Then out came the puddings all on one plate ,brownies, tirramasu and strawberries, with happy birthday written in chocolate 🍫 😋 what a fabulous touch. We couldn't eat it all then so got it to go , So accommodating, lovely. We can't wait to return and try the regular menu 😋 🙌 😀 xx”
