Customer Review Summary
Friendly, helpful bar staff are what reviewers mention most, with several calling the team knowledgeable and the bartenders friendly. Close behind are the cocktail-making sessions, where groups for a hen do and a 21st birthday describe mixing their own drinks behind the bar from around 10 choices, with a Bellini on arrival and a ritual of throwing ice. Others praise a reserved area for a group of 20, classic cocktails on special offer, and a good range of tunes, while one mentions the lack of salt for tequila slammers. One calls the cocktails nice but basic. One reviewer suggests booking, since otherwise the bar can fill with stag and hen groups. The main complaint is a visit where a group was asked for ID twice by different bartenders, and a joking comment led to a bartender telling them to leave. A Bueno cocktail was unavailable for one couple, so the bartender went out, bought ice cream and brought two back.

“My partner and I were entertaining a few work colleagues one evening, and we decided to try Be At One in Bournemouth. As soon as we walked up to the bar, we were immediately asked to show our ID, which was understandable as some of us looked younger than others. However, some of us were asked again by a different bartender, even though they were standing right next to each other when they checked our IDs the first time. We felt this was excessive, especially for those colleagues who were clearly much older than us. One of us made a light-hearted comment along the lines of, “At least this keeps you busy,” but the middle-aged male bartender immediately told us to leave, saying he didn’t have to tolerate sarcastic remarks. We apologised, explaining that it was just a joke, but he continued to insist that we leave the premises. It was absolutely ridiculous, and I’ve genuinely never experienced such cold and unfriendly service. We ended up going to Boom Battle Bar instead, where we had an amazing time and were welcomed by lovely staff.”

“Came here Saturday night after food at turtle bay, rocking out best matching duck stuff. Door staff welcoming and professional, great atmosphere, clean toilets, bar staff top quality, no salt for tequila slammers but after 8 it didnt matter, drinks flowed, dances were silly but fun, tunes were decent. Met a quality couple there from Birmingham and a local legend joey who we'll be seeing again next time we come down. Probably arrange to meet up again same place next time we're all free n in the city. Thanks Be At One, new favourite venue for drinks n dancing.”

“Had a brilliant time, Billy and Merlo took great care of us, they reserved an area for 20 of us, classic cocktails were on special offer, and they played a great range of tunes for us. Always like to visit when I'm in Bournemouth, always a great venue”

“They don't serve food here as far as I am aware however it had been refurbished since I had been in here last....it looks the same, except a bigger layout and cleaner 😁 Staff were really friendly and it was a nice crowd, my partner and I met some lovely people however be sure to make a booking as you could end up standing around with the young stag do/hen do groups lol. Toilets needed cleaning and a bit more attention but otherwise great night.”
