Customer Review Summary
The Harajuku street bowl is the most frequent draw. Reviewers describe large portions topped with karaage chicken, katsu chicken, tender sirloin beef and spicy-yaki sauce, with salt and pepper fries alongside. Close behind is the ramen: the spicy beef ramen is called huge, fresh and warm, while one diner found the chicken ramen tasty but a little salty and missed a pork soup option. Chicken gyoza, prawn tempura, prawn udon stir fry and a cheesy tempura roll also earn praise, though one reviewer wanted the tempura prawn crispier. Sushi splits opinion. One calls it 10/10, while another found the rice unseasoned and bland and the avocado so underripe it was hard to chew, though that same diner liked the katsu curry. One regular felt rushed in the small dining room on a busy Friday and found the shutters still down after the listed opening time. Several praise friendly staff, and a few point to takeaway packaging that keeps crunchy items separate so nothing goes soggy.

“the katsu curry was okay, tasty, chicken was cooked well and the egg was nice. but do not order sushi from here, i don’t even think they’re using sushi rice, unseasoned and bland, the avocado was so underripe it was hard to chew through. really poor on the sushi unfortunately”

“Busy going in on a Friday to sit in and we felt rushed by the groups of 4+ that kept funnelling in looking at us as if try to hurry us along, but the food was great as always Spicy Miso chicken and a side of Kaarage chicken. We always really enjoy eating here. A few times we've wanted to come it says open from 4pm, but the shutters were down until 6pm. Not sure if this is normal, but something to keep an eye on.”

“Very nice food, good service, a bit quiet inside but still more than welcoming. Would recommend Had the Harajuku Street bowl with Salt & Pepper Fries, Teriyaki Sauce, Katsu chicken and Karaage Chicken. Very well presented, and tasted just as good”

“Genuinely a gem in Bolton! We’ve ordered here multiple times now and the food has been reliably great every single time. Generous portions and amazing flavours across everything we’ve tried. What really stands out is how thoughtful they are with takeaway packaging — they clearly think about keeping things like crunchy elements separate so nothing goes soggy by the time you get home. It’s a small detail but it makes such a difference. The staff are always polite and friendly, and the sitting area is really cosy if you want to eat in. Everything we’ve ordered has been delicious. Highly recommend 😊 Especially great to have a halal Japanese spot locally!”
