  “First time visiting here and really enjoyed our evening. Friendly service was a particular highlight and they make a fuss of birthdays which was good fun. Bruscetta starter was tasty but bread a little overdone and difficult to cut. Tasty calzone which was a massive portion with a large side salad, couldn't finish it. Salmon a little overcooked and sauce under seasoned. Americano small and very strong, seemed more like a double espresso. 4* for food but we enjoyed it nonetheless and will be back.”

  “We’re staying for a couple of days and we booked this restaurant on our first evening as soon as we got here. Straight away we loved the look of the restaurant, it reminded us of genuine Italian restaurants that we saw when we travelled there. The staff were extremely attentive and friendly. Our daughter had been asking for her favourite macaroni cheese for the few days that we had been on our holiday but nowhere had had it on the menu, including here, but it wasn’t a problem at all for them and they cooked her up the tastiest cheesy sauce pasta that she’d ever tasted which she gave 10/10. And not just that dish, all of the food was absolutely delicious and honestly better than some of the food we had in Italy (which was all incredible). We would highly recommend Limoncello and would definitely come back if we visit again.”

  “We came to leave a review after our visit and were surprised to see comments about there not being enough vegetarian or gluten-free options, as our experience was completely different. The chef actually came out personally and talked us through so many options, including dishes that weren’t listed on the menu and lots of dishes that could altered to be without meat or made without gluten. All dishes are made fresh so super flexible. We chose a pasta with mushrooms and Stilton which was to die for! We felt really well looked after and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this restaurant to anyone with dietary requirements. Amazing service and nothing seemed like too much trouble.”

  “Used to love coming here, staff are always lovely. Unfortunately the menu has changed and they don’t have a single vegetarian option on the menu anymore, never mind anything vegan. I won’t be returning unless the menu is changed to accommodate those who have dietary preferences and allergies.”

  “The food was reasonable, but certainly nothing to write home about. Unfortunately, there didn't seem to be any consistency in the portion sizes. One member of our party ordered the Spaghetti Marinara and received a generous amount of seafood. Another ordered the Wednesday offer of a half pizza and half pasta, paying the seafood surcharge for the pasta, but received just one prawn, three mussels and an unopened clam. When we raised this with the waitress, her response was that perhaps the chef had given all of the seafood to the other dish. She said she would mention it to the chef, but he appeared more interested in chatting to another table, and nothing was done to resolve the issue. To add insult to injury, we were still charged the seafood surcharge. This left a bitter taste, so we asked for the bill and decided to go elsewhere to finish our evening. Overall, the disappointing part wasn't just the food, but the lack of customer service. If a customer takes the time to raise a genuine concern while still in the restaurant, it should be addressed there and then. Had someone taken ownership of the issue and tried to put things right, this review could have been much more positive.”
