Customer Review Summary
Chicken tikka is the dish reviewers name most, with one praising the chunky chicken in the curry and another calling the tikka and a buttermilk fried chicken burger delicious and piping hot, though one found the rice dry and flavourless. Close behind is cleanliness, with diners describing a clean, tidy pub, toilets cleaner than any they have seen, and friendly staff. The ales draw praise too, with Harlequin and Wobbly Bobs described as spot on, and one reviewer can't fault the refillable brew machine. Food temperature is the recurring complaint. One breakfast arrived stone cold, leading the reviewer to suspect pre-cooked food, and a sweet chilli wrap was very cold. Others say portions have shrunk, citing a few chips and very thin ham, and one reviewer found the food inedible. Several describe a loud, busy, maze-like pub with a crowded bar. One reviewer asked twice for a spoon in place of a fork, was told to wait, then queued at the bar and was spoken to rudely.

“Cinveniently located near the shopping centre. Good atmosphere, but quite loud despite it not being busy, but it was a home football match day. Enjoyable visit, you always know what you get from Wetherspoons. Sometimes food at some venues can be cold, but not here so we'll worth the visit.”

“Food, drinks are very good and the whole pub is clean, tidy and I've never seen cleaner toilets! Well done to all the staff! Friendly and attentive, although it is quite a maze 😂”

“Was rather disappointed when I last visited here. The food menu isn’t that good since removing some of the most popular meals. The tikka masala curry is quite nice and has chunky pieces of chicken in, the rice isn’t that good it’s quite dry and flavourless. The burgers are quite over priced for what you get and it’s gone quite down hill with the service too. The waiter / kitchen porter brought the food to the table and I waited 15 minutes after asking for a spoon instead of the fork that he gave me. On the first time asking he there’s and walked away, the second time I asked he said give me 5 minutes and after waiting I then queued at the bar to be spoken to rudely. I won’t be eating food here again On the other hand though if your wanting a brew they’re refillable and I can’t fault that machine lol”

“I waited a while at the bottom of the huge bar to be served. Eventually, I had to shout and ask why no one was serving at the bottoms. of the bar when other customers were waiting. The bartender apologised and quickly served us. I had the cold sweet chilli wrap with extra chips and a Hazy Jane for less than £10. Plenty of chicken, although it was very cold, but not much chilli; no problems with the fluffy chips! I tried the Harlequin ale and a couple of Wobbly Bobs which were spot on! Got very busy around 7.30pm creating a vibrant atmosphere.”
