About The Trumpet
The Trumpet is a pub and live music venue on High Street in Bilston, set in a Holdens house opposite a Wetherspoons. Music from live bands runs through the week, and instead of a cover charge the room collects a raffle or donation at the door, with all doors locked once a set begins. Drinks must be bought at the bar, and the gig room takes walk-ins on the night. The format keeps the focus on the stage and the bar, with the programme and the Holdens cellar doing the work between them.

Customer Review Summary
Live bands are the main draw, with reviewers praising good bands, a brilliant set, and free entry supported by a raffle and donations. Positive reviewers also describe a friendly welcome, reasonable drink prices, a great atmosphere, and a lovely Holdens pub. The larger share of reviews, though, centre on the landlady or bar lady, whom several call rude. Several accounts say she laid hands on or grabbed teenagers who had come to see friends in the band, which is these reviewers' claim alone. The same accounts say she demanded everyone buy a drink to watch the free gig and locked the doors, which they say breaks fire regulations. One reviewer says she refused the toilet to a non-customer, and another calls the beer vinegar. One reviewer says anyone who stepped out was told they would have to knock and ask permission to get back in.
