About Stran-wiches
Stran-wiches is a sandwich shop in Belfast, at 153 Stranmillis Rd, that bakes its bread in house each day. The menu changes monthly with seasonal produce, and rotating specials appear alongside it. Sandwiches are served on focaccia, with wraps and other bread options as alternatives. Each one is made fresh to order, and the prep area is visible from the counter. The Reuben comes with pastrami, cheese, pickles, sauerkraut and mustard. Deep fried oyster mushrooms with a Thai style sauce make up the vegan sandwich. A turkey sandwich with pear slices uses turkey roasted each day. The shop is independent and locally owned, and a queue at the counter is common during busy times.

“Hands down the best sandwiches in Belfast. Top class food and top class staff. Been coming here from it opened and it’s 10/10 every time. Andrea is an absolute credit to the place and I hope they are here for many more years to come❤️❤️❤️”

“Really disappointed with my lunch. Ordered the BLTC in a wrap. And at £10 this was a 'treat' lunch. Opened it when I got home only to discover I had been given just a BLT...main ingredient of the chicken was missing and also not a crouton in sight which is listed in the ingredients of this sandwich too. Shop was empty with only 2 other people who ordered after me so it wasn't even like they were run off their feet. Only for the fact I would have had to drive all the way back I didn't go in to complain and ask for the sandwich to be remade. Also just to respond to the reply I received. I have attached a picture of what I asked for which clearly listed the ingredients. Including chicken. This was on the website 'I want fed', which you take orders through as of yesterday. So I was not disappointed by my own choice. I was mislead by your incorrect information. But it's good to see you have now updated the ingredients on this site today to show what it actually includes. Maybe you could include the full story on your Instagram tomorrow for transparency.”

“Absolutely love the food here. The flavours always work even though the menu changes often. Very creative! The bread is the unsung hero, it's flavourful & soft which makes it really easy to eat - not an extreme sport like with some sourdoughs! The Bhan Mi this week is perfect.”

“Stumbled across this place by accident while up in Stranmillis this afternoon. I had the Chicken Parmo, what a sandwich, never had something so tasty and in Belfast. Worth the £10 I’ll be back to go sample the others!”

“Very decent hand made fresh sandwiches/wraps and focaccia, with very interesting fillings and ingredients. Excellent flavour and presentation (with maybe a bit too much filler lettuce?). Certainly a "wee treat" place as apposed to a daily, given the prices. Fair play to the owners to get away with it around Stanmillis, but it seems way above, +c.50% more expensive than other very similar places in Belfast (e.g. Tasty Nosh, Stacked, Thyme, West). Serious hipster tax.”
