  “Without question, this was the worst customer service experience I have ever had. The owner was unbelievably rude, hostile, and completely lacking in basic manners. I was spoken to with utter disrespect and was actually told never to set foot in the takeaway again. I was left shocked by how a paying customer could be treated in such a degrading and unprofessional manner. The only reason this review is not entirely negative is because the food is genuinely very good. However, no amount of good food can make up for being treated so badly. The owner’s attitude was arrogant, aggressive, and completely unacceptable for someone running a customer-facing business. I have never felt so unwelcome in a restaurant or takeaway. It is astonishing that a business owner would speak to customers in this way and then expect people to return. Basic courtesy costs nothing, yet it was entirely absent here. If customer service matters to you at all, I would strongly advise staying away. The food may be good, but the experience was so unpleasant that I will never return. Zero stars for service.”

  “⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Pearl is by far my favourite Chinese takeaway in Bedford. The food is always fresh, delicious, and consistently excellent. Every meal is full of flavour, and the quality never disappoints. The owner is incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the customer service is second to none. It's always a pleasure ordering from here. Highly recommend to anyone looking for fantastic Chinese food and great service!”

  “The food here is a absolute premium quality and I do mean premium quality most Chinese takeaways a Tesco's level they're not good they're not bad but the pearl and I've been using them for 20 maybe 25 years a Waitrose level the pearl of kempston is the yard rule to which all future chinese takeout joints will be measured unrivaled never had an issue and all the years not one single time of bad issue”

  “Delivery. The chips were unseasoned and dry. Such a shame after reading the good reviews and we had not eaten all day.. they clearly did not care for us paying £25 pound. the driver admitted they were very quiet this evening as our food arrived too early.. now we know that it was not cooked fresh. very disappointing, we would not recommend. overpriced bland food. Many other chinesh takeaways to try!!”

  “Place an order 1 /2 hours ago and I am up in 6:00 this morning how to go for an operation so I have to fast all night after waiting near the 2 hours nobody turned up with my food now all of the Chinese restaurants are closed and I can't get a takeaway and I have a broken leg the what Chinese servers in the UK are my wife is pregnant and she had no food either”

  “Spent a fortune with these guys in the past & just called for a delivery & the young girl who works with her mum who by the way is charming as is the owner has just asked me to pay £4.80 for delivery + costs of 3× plastic bags when challenged regarding the correct amount that I should be paying I was told "I am not prepared to be spoken to like that" what a ridiculous response she can't even add up correctly,I quite rightly replied I am not prepared to be treated like this either,shame because I will never spend any money with them again,extremely odd im sure that you will agree 🤔 As you can rightly see no response from this place after my review from week's ago, they did try to call me after the ridiculous response that I wasn't prepared to tolerate but that just doesn't cut it,too little too late, also delivery times are ridiculous over 1 & half hour's to deliver 10 minutes down the road, they're having a laugh, not any more with me, I've found another Chinese that is way better, Calmer is a funny state,I would say to avoid at all cost, they're not the only Chinese takeaway in Bedford to pay your hard earned money to £££££ 😁”

  “I had a takeaway from here last night for the first time. It was very tasty, good portion sizes and was ready fairly quick. We ordered over the phone for collection and they didn’t mess up our order. I would recommend the chicken fried rice, plain chow mein & beef black pepper. I ordered prawn toast as well which I usually like but wasn’t keen on it from here so if I was going to order from this restaurant again I personally wouldn’t get the prawn toast again. The entire order came to just over £60. They also gave us some fortune cookies with our order. if you’re looking for a delicious Chinese takeaway in the area I think you should try this one out!”

  “I can't give stars for Atmosphere as I had my food delivered but I can give stars for food and service. I had the shrimp vermicelli with special omelette and bbq sauce and I was quoted a 65 minute time for delivery but it arrived 40 minutes early👍👍🙂and the food was so piping hot I had to let it stand for a few minutes as it was too hot to handle and eat 😁🔥🔥🔥🥵! I will definitely order from this place again 👍👍👍💯%”

  “Had an absolute feast this evening! All of this for £70 which is an absolute bargain compared to my local Chinese. Every item was fresh & full of flavour. The honey ribs and salt & pepper chicken was my favourite! Delivery was £3.50 which isn't too bad considering it was around 15 miles delivery. Food was still really warm, and only took 35 minutes. Will definitely order from here again when in the area”
