  “Found China Lantern to be best Chinese for delivery in Wombwell area for a long time now. Food is really tasty and plenty of it, plus freebies. Ordered 1/4 duck, spare ribs, mushroom chow mein and chips and will have enough for lunch for both of us tomorrow. Veg spring rolls and prawn crackers were free. I always say the sign of a good place is how they handle a problem. The chips were missing from the original delivery but i reported it straight away and a piping hot portion of chips was with us in very little time.”

  “We gist got some food and the king prawn was row the food look and taste like is been off the noodles they are not as usual they smell like burn and taste overall not fresh.Then the lady on the phone she couldn’t understand my order and I got some spicy skewer prawn instead of dry and I mentioned no spicy .Definitely not ordering again👎🏻 My review was never about how much food I ordered or how much money was spent. It was about the quality of the food I received. The king prawns were not eaten because they did not look or taste right, so we threw them away. We did not get poisoned because we did not eat them. I did not contact you — you contacted me after seeing my review and asked me to remove or change it, offering a free meal. My review is genuine and based on my experience. When you called me, you also apologised for the communication issue on the phone, explaining that the lady taking the order could not understand properly and advising me to order online in the future if needed. This was acknowledged by you at the time, so it is unfair to now criticise my English. I found your comment about my English disrespectful and unnecessary. I work in a primary school, so I communicate in English daily in a professional environment. You contacted me after my review and offered a free meal in exchange for removing it — that says a lot. I even ordered a second time to give you another chance. The second order was better, but that does not change my original review. Reviews are based on the experience at that time, and my first order was honestly a waste of money. Paying for a second order does not mean I have to change or delete my review. I stand by what I originally received and experienced Customers have the right to share honest feedback. I hope in the future concerns can be handled more professionally and respectfully”

  “Amazeing food was beautiful i struggle with beef but it melted in your mouth best chinese we have had in a long time .the staff were so friendly and helpfull.worth our half our trip will definatly go back cant wait thankyou to you all!!!”

  “Food was undoubtedly delicious but I wish I'd collected because it took over an hour and half to be delivered. Not sure if this is unusual but I'll happily try again with how good the food was.”

  “Have had many meals in past and would normally rate as 5 star but received such a tint pot of sweet and sour sauce my meal was dry and inedible. Are these small pots the norm now? If so we will not be ordering again. Such a shame.”

  “Wow what can I say. 2hrs for delivery and food is that bad it’s in the bin already and ordering elsewhere. Nothing has taste and oil just pooled on top. Chips think they forgot to cook them and put salt and petter on. 100% avoid this place”

  “I clicked chicken satay rather than chicken satay skewers....... I did enjoy it, it could have done with being a little thicker satay sauce though! Also ordered Thai green curry with boiled rice. I wouldn't rush out to order it again, the Thai green curry was very watery/fluid like, every now and again I got a hint of creamy flavour from the coconut milk but its not the best I've had. Flavours were good though so I cannot discount that!”
